first i wanna start off this review with the positives: the atmosphere is gorgeous and the selection of sweet treats and grocery side is amazing. very nice and calming music and it’s always full with people. ive been coming here since its opened and unfortunately im not happy with where the shop is headed quality and service wise.

every time i order a pastry and asked for it warm they either don’t warm it, warm it to the point where its burned, or it’s hot on the outside and cold on the center. sometimes they taste almost a couple days old, like they’ve been sitting in the display case all night.

they offer two different sizes but they still charge you the same amount for both sizes and the size difference between the two sizes is drastic.

it’s very frustrating spending almost 8$ on a coffee for it to be borderline undrinkable due to it being made completely wrong. i’ve been a barista for over 4 years and i know that you’re not supposed to pull the same shot twice. it waters down the espresso and it makes it taste burnt and weird. this was not something that was done before and im shocked that this is a thing that’s being done. there have been many times i’ve spend so much money on a coffee only for me to toss it afterwards because i don’t like to complain.

i’ve also worked in the restaurant business and i know that it takes time to clean the kitchen and i understand closing the kitchen 15-30 minutes before close because you have to clean, but ive never heard of a place that closes their kitchen an hour before they close. i work late and sometimes i don’t have time to sneak out of work and order something earlier. it felt like they simply didn’t want to cook anything in the kitchen and i don’t think that’s right.

it gets way too busy in there to only have 1 barista on shift. it’s not fair to the employees to have to juggle 3 tasks at once especially with the amount of people who come in there every day. the service is so slow and that’s due to the fact there is not enough people to deal with the customers. it took almost 20 minutes just to get a croissant and a macaroon.

they are almost never open on time. there have been times where i’ve come almost an hour after they should have been open and they are closed and people have been waiting outside for a while.

its very unfair and dishonest to try and sell your pastries as fresh when most times they are not, and its unfair to charge almost 8$ for a latte that is made watered...

Came here again today and it brought me such peace and joy. The guy that waited on me was so knowledgeable. Had a cold lavender latte and white chocolate key lime scones. Ahhhh!

Place was beautiful inside and run by beautiful suite Bulgarian lady. I had the plum frappe. The ice was not fine enough but she said next time just ask and she would make it more fine. Had three wonderful desserts and the meat and potato pocket. Owner was very polite and helpful. The market part has lots of items for sale. Also refrigerated and frozen. Lots of candies. Beautiful place. You can pull in from Granada or you can pull in from Clyde Morris. Address 1122 West Granada. Kind of hard to see from front because it's deep instead of wide and there's a gas station taking up a lot of room. I came back the next day with my husband and ordered several things and they were all delicious also. Just wanted to sit in the wing back chairs...

I've been wanting to check out this sweet cafe/ market for a few months now, and finally got around to it! It's super cute, cozy... unique, with a nice atmosphere and a bit of a Euro- eclectic feel to it. I am looking forward to going back to try more, maybe a coffee and dessert. The market is really cool, and had lots of fun/interesting things to try... even some hard-to-find German candy that we really enjoy! If you enjoy chocolate and hazelnut, I recommend the Schoko-bons! For brunch, we had pierogis (potato & cheese) which were yummy... and a pear toast. I felt like the pear toast could have been 2 pieces for the price, but was worth trying, I liked it. There are so, so many different things to try, and I'd totally recommend it, and will definitely go back. What a cute hidden gem. I love the style as well. I'd be interested to know about the inspiration and background...

Cute cafe. Our experience was mixed. Here is why: We bought some walnut cookies and the thin waffle both had Dulce de leche inside and they were delicious. We also bought 3 of the little cakes, the pistachio, the snickers and the honey cakes. They looked much better than they tasted. None of them had much flavor, the pistachio didn't taste like anything, it was so disappointing as we love pistachio. The snickers one was dry, days old. And the honey one, was the best one out of the 3 but still not a lot of flavor. They felt like empty calories. Tip: having cakes unwrapped or uncovered in the fridge will dry them out quicker. If we go back, it'll be to get some of those freshly baked items.

An absolute gem of a cafe! Truly a much needed addition to Ormond. Tastefully decorated with loving artful details. Besides a large selection of coffee drinks, there is a large selection of pastries. The cafe also has a sizable inventory of European grocery items in the back. Frozen dumplings, desserts in the freezer, cold cuts, dairy items, smoked fish, caviar. The list goes on! They even order if you have a favorite European item that you would like them to carry. The service is welcoming. We need to support small businesses! I have been here multiple times and always admire this gem.
