Expensive! I had a very nice breakfast here, the service was excellent, the restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the food was good, (but nothing to write home about). My only comment was the prices, they are EXPENSIVE. Especially compared to some other options not far away for local breakfast cafés and diners. Yes I know everybody says prices have gone up everywhere, but paying $25 (after an average tip) just for a simple omelette breakfast plate, a 6 ounce glass of orange juice, and a very regular coffee, is just nuts. $3.79 for a 6 oz glass of OJ, when one can buy a entire 52oz bottle of OJ from Walmart for $3.98?? If you do the maths on that, their price for their 6oz glass of OJ represents a 758% markup versus the over-the-counter retail cost. That’s way more than what bars make on liquor! 😳 And $3.59 for a very ordinary 6oz cup of plain black coffee, nothing special about it at all? Not long ago, you could have bought an entire breakfast for that amount of money at a local diner down the street. I do support local businesses, (and I almost consider this a local business, even though it is a chain), but when the prices go up like this versus what’s available elsewhere, management needs to be made aware that we’re not going to just keep believing that “this is normal”, or that it’s acceptable. I won’t be going back to Peach Valley Cafe for that one reason alone - over the top expensive! There are other local restaurants, privately owned by hard-working local residents, that offer far better value for money. I will be supporting them instead. But if you love overpaying for things just because they have a supposedly “attractive brand name” on the front door, then this is your place. It’s just not mine. I’m deliberately posting pictures of the menus, so you can check the prices...
Read moreI have to say that this is one of the BEST restaurants I have ever been in, if not THE BEST. When you walk in the door you immediately get hit with wonderful smells. You could see the place was extremely clean but you smelled the food. The people were exceptionally wonderful and helpful and all had great attitude. When we asked our waiter what he recommended, he immediately told us with exact detail. And with real enthusiasm. My friend ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of sausage patty and eggs. I got the full sack of apple fritters. When the food come, which did not take long, and trust me they were busy, we were amazed. The biscuit and gravy literally filled the plate, and it was no small plate. The biscuits were fluffy and bigger than your palm. The sausage patty was not just some packaged patty. It was fresh and done by hand. It was bigger than most hamburger patties at other places. The eggs were done right. The apple fritters were the best I've ever had. They come out in a bag where the waiter shook them in the cinnamon and sugar mix and poured them on the plate. And when he had said they were made when ordered, he was right. You could tell they were fresh. The dipping sauce was wow. The waiter checked on us non stop. But not in a bad way. He had such a great attitude, as did everyone else that worked there. The atmosphere was perfect. My friend couldn't even finish his because it was such a huge serving. I have to say that this place blew my mind. Everything was all you could ask for. They have a counter, tables, regular booths and extra large booths. It was all so clean yet you didn't smell the clean, you smelled all the food. I can't...
Read moreI’ve always heard good things about this place and never gotten around to trying it, that was not until today (8-7) I had the time to stop and sit down somewhere and chose here. Can I just say, I was pleasantly surprised! I expected an experience comparable to some of the local cafes pretty mediocre and lack luster, but this place was different. It was very tidy thanks to the busy Busser (Cameron) and other hard working staff ensuring the tables are always clean and neat. The service was great my server (Doug) was extremely kind and quick to get my food and drinks to me I also had a question which he was quick to give me an answer. The food itself was pretty good and didn’t take long for me to receive (10-15 minute max) I ordered the peach valley skillet and I ’d say for the price you pay you get a good serving and it tastes yummy! My only gripe’s would be that’s I think I would’ve liked it to have slightly more veggies and that it could’ve been a little more warm when it came out, but these are just my personal preference. Id definitely say my favorite part of my meal was the biscuit because it was very fluffy and soft and I was just craving it at that moment. The atmosphere was pretty inviting and friendly nothing to complain about there. I’d say overall I had a lovely experience and didn’t leave unsatisfied I will be returning in the future for more enjoyable...
