I visit Applebee's probably once every 6 weeks due to the fact that I love their food. Especially their oriental chicken salad. This particular day I had many errands to do so. My friend and I thought this place would be great to stop by and have lunch as he really wanted a steak. The food was excellent no complaints. Everything done according to order but unfortunately I have to say. The service for the first time since i've been to applebee's was much much to be sought out. We waited probably 20 minutes just to get something to drink. Then the food came but waited another 15 to 20 minutes for the check and something to put my food in to bring home. All of all. I missed my appointment at the bank because of the fact that the service was so slow. It had nothing to do with the amount of people there because there were only 3 tables when we first came in. It was just ourselves with another table next to us. In my humble opinion, I truly believe the slow service had to do with lack of staff. There was one waitress, but this waitress was unfortunately very slow, it did not. Organize her time or her thoughts. Regarding the tasks of her job In order to accommodate our needs of time convenience. I do not ask for liquidity split service. But I do not want to wait twenty minutes for a drink either. I think we caught them at a bad day. And I don't think this is an experience to go through each time. I go vis it Therefore, this will not determine for visiting them again because what type of poor service does not require. My decision to never go back there again. I love the food too much and will give them another chance. What I thought was Unfortunate- we did not hear one apology the entire time we were there regarding the lack of odd type service or the lack of organizational skills that were missing from this waitress. That disappointed me more than anything. But it still will not Deter me from going back. If I find this occurs again, I will ask to speak with the manager, which wasn't available at the time. I will write to the company and find out what other kinds of assistance They might need in order for the place to run smoothly. Lastly, because I am headed cap and did not have my Walker. But only Michael, I was not offered any door opening in or of the restaurant. I guess, but again, I'm thinking of a lack of enough. Staff available was the issue.. Nor did they offer to assist me with my food on the way out, not that This is a priority for them to do but a courtesy if they would have had the staff available. No offerings of opening the door when I came in or when I left either which they always do at Applebee's. This is part of their courtesyshould they have enough staff. This is by far the worst service I've ever received from an Applebee's I ordered to go car side tonight for the first time I usually come to the restaurant about twice a month to eat with my husband we order the firecracker shrimp and a Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp I'm really upset because I get home all the way from Ormond to Holly Hill Fl by the Daytona line to find out they put steamed shrimp and the firecracker shrimp instead of the breaded shrimp that supposed to be in there while I was sitting in the restaurant for 20 minutes the manager did this mistake himself he had plenty of time to ask me before the transaction was processed on to our credit card that's the first problem the second problem is that my Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp did not have the bourbon sauce and the same thing with the shrimp it was not cooked properly it was just steamed and thrown in there so I call and talk to the manager on the phone and he apologizes that it was his mistake but from my recollection when I worked in a restaurant you're supposed to ask customers first if they don't have something that they're out of if they can replace it with something else before processing the transaction on the card or even serving them that dinner the service was not good at all mind you I have work in the am very early it was 11 when we ordered drive home and had to drive all the way back and the manager Ron was upset that I was disgusted with the service and preparation of our food it's now 12:39 and still waiting for our money back we will never be bringing our service back to any Applebee's ever in our life ! My thing is if we were to have actually sat in the restaurant we would have probably not been treated this way which is so wrong I can imagine how many people were hungry and got home to realize there food was not prepared properly, we should not have been treated any differently just because we ordered to go , this is no way to treat any customers good business comes from how your treat you paying customers point blank period! Also another problem this so called manager didn't even know how to reverse the card transaction but he was able to call me and say that he wanted to be courteous and tell me that he was able to reverse the transaction but he couldn't be courteous and ask me while I was at the restaurant waiting on my food if it was OK to prepare the food wrong !!!!!! I will be calling customer service in the morning to tell them all about my experience and that we will not be returning to any Applebee's...

It was around 3:30 ish and so we were going to Linner You know what brunch is (Breakfast/ Lunch right? Well "Linner" is lunch & dinner(we just made that up)
Ok, now since we liked it so much the last time we were in and was out that way (10 miles away) we decided to go again. ONE 1 person was finishing his meal and another couple came in just ahead of us also a few guys at the bar
Sooo, you would think not busy huh? You would think you're getting fast, good service right? AND able to get just a hamburger and chicken sandwich correct.
I did not want all of the fixings on my sandwich ESPECIALLY PICKLES! Boy, do I HATE pickles To me (my opinion) pickles RUIN any meal for me ESPECIALLY when I EXPRESS NO PICKLES!!!
Oh you know it came with? PICKLES.
Now, it wasn't the server's fault because she wrote no pickles and it was only on the bottom of the roll.
So, all I asked for was a new bottom part of roll. Simple you would think right?
Of course not! So I'm waiting,waiting AND waiting, my chicken is getting warm and the top part of the roll is getting soggy UGGH (if you follow me you KNOW I like food from the oven, (grill) right to my mouth. Warm or cold, I will NOT be happy with the meal no matter how delicious the food is supposed to be.
So, yes while I'm waiting, the server is talking at the bar and she's talking, talking AND talking. I could not catch her attention.
Meanwhile, a new server comes in and I catch her attention and she goes back to check and bring out my bun.
When the new server brings my bun she tells me the cook forgot to do it!!! Of course, I'm fuming because now I have a soggy bun and warm chicken.
Now, FINALLY the original server comes back and asks how is everything. When I tell her I just received the bun, she has the NERVE to tell me it takes that long.
I tell her the cook forgot the bun, the top of bun is soggy and my chicken is now on the warm/coldish side
Crickets ...she just stood there looking at me so I said if she stopped having a fun, long conversation with the customer she would have seen me trying to call her over.
We were compt for my meal...this is NOT what I want! I want someone to train her with customer care again!!!
Yes, she did receive her tip from the full price of the meal, I would never be as rude to not give a bad tip.
I'm not sure we will go back in when it is 10 miles from home with many more...
