Quite possibly the worst McDonald's I've ever been too, and for the first time ever made me want to contact corporate on them. My wife and I had stopped in to use their restrooms after a lengthy drive from Miami and my wife wanted some coffee. The staff was very unfriendly and downright hostile insisting that my wife use their overcomplicated kiosk instead of taking an order directly at the counter like any normal fast food restaurant.
They seemed very annoyed that my wife wanted to pay cash and offered no help to use the kiosk. A slightly older man entered the restaurant after us and was also told that he had to use the kiosk (again, why?) and by the time I saw him leave he looked very annoyed and displeased (can't blame him). When my wife came out of the restroom she looked shellshocked and outside told me the ladies room was literally overflowing with feces and it was smeared all over the wall and floor and was so disgusting it made her throw up.
My wife cleaned the vomit up herself and it was pretty clear since staff had come out of that restroom moments prior that they knew about it and simply didn't care. We got out with the coffee which tasted stale and very lukewarm and so unlike halfway decent coffee I was tempted to throw it out the window in disgust.
Look, me and wife are the most low maintenance people you can imagine. All we expect from a McDonald's is a clean bathroom, hot coffee and someone at the register to take our order correctly. This experience was so bad we won't ever set foot in a McDonald's even just as a bathroom stop for a trip. This location neatly encapsulates everything wrong with how fast food places run. It's renovated to be 'hip' to get some of that sweet millennial market dollars and has fancy tablet kiosks. Well I have news for McDonald's, you want to appeal to people? Be good. Hire good staff and train and manage them well, have good service where people get their order in a quick and friendly manner, and have hot and fresh food and drink and people will come. We felt like we were treated like we were unwanted and that any interaction was an inconvenience. A McDonald's should not feel like a Redbox.
Everyone at this location needs to be summarily fired from the manager all the way down. The restroom needs to be condemned (or at least be signed off while it's being cleaned), and the entire kiosks system needs to be chucked into the garbage along with the stupid garish 'fast casual' restaurant vibe that...
Read moreI wish I could do less than a 1 star!!!! My family (4 cars full) went to this McDonalds this past Tuesday. The kids (ages15- 17) went in first and the adults stood outside talking. The boys came back out stating that one of the employees was giving them a problem. We would handle the problem before we left- being that this was where we were going to eat. It couldn't have been 3 minutes later. The young lady came to the door and yelled that we needed to "stop dancing" and "get outta here". Well at that point we knew there was a huge problem. Well one of our boys was coming out their restroom and overheard the young lady telling the male manager that he needed to get "them" out of the parking lot. When he asked who she said, "those black people". Not knowing that one of our boys was coming around the corner and overheard. We immediately went inside and requested to speak to a manager. When the gentleman came up trying to see what the problem was we told him that we did not want to speak to him we wanted to speak to someone over him and we wanted corporates phone number. He insisted on dealing with the problem so we told him what the problem was. He denied it and stated that the young lady that were talking about must have went outside but we had just came from outside and did not see her. A young lady in a peachish or reddish shirt came from the back stating that she was a manager and wanted to resolve the problem. We told her what the issue was and she said that she knew just who we was talkin about and the young lady was sitting in the back office. At that point one of the drive-thru employees, a female, yelled to the front "YALL NEED TO KEEP THE NOUSE DOWN, THERE'S KIDS IN HERE" as if our children don't matter and we're loudly complaining about the young lady addressing our children instead of addressing us, the adults. Any food that was already ordered we had had the boys to cancelled orders and get their money back the man insisted to make things right but also denied ever knowing that anything was going on and one of our boys came back in and pointed specifically him out. This is absolutely unacceptable, I will be placing this on both of my blog sites and I will be going to the Better Business Bureau about this! This is absolutely uncalled for, Unnecessary, unacceptable, and will not be...
Read moreI would give no stars if I could. I have been going to this McDonalds as minimal as I can because there service is so poor, food is unacceptable or cold, food is wrongly delivered. My kids begged me today for McDonalds so I thought I'd be the nice dad and take them thru the drive thru. Line was decent I thought hey they might be able to pull off a good order. I pay and get my drinks, I'm directed to spot number 3. I sit there, and sit there, and watch other cars get there food and drive off. Finally I see my two happy meals and bag for me, but its given to a silver car behind me..... silver car takes the bags and gives back the happy meals. I'm 100% convinced now they have given my food away and I've sat for close to 20 minutes now. Went inside and got my money refunded. Got rude looks and confused questioning on why. They had no idea I was sitting out there? They offered to give me the cold happy Neal's that another customer already had in there car and in there hands... It might seem pretty silly but I'm extremely let down. I'm on a fixed income and this McDonalds treat for my kids is now affecting my ability to go get more food somewhere else because I've got to wait however long for my refund to clear. Please do Not go here. This place should be closed down or put under new management. McDonalds should be held to a higher standard seeing as it's one of the most available fast food joints in history. This is why chick filet will always be better than McDonalds. It's a shame...
