Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Oro Valley

I've been coming here on and off for over a year. Amazingly I barely get a hello, a smile, or anything resembling friendliness. I'm always there early and yes I sit and read the news and respond to emails when there, 45 min. to an hour. It's a small place and I get the feeling they'd rather be alone so the workers can chit-chat about their social lives. There are a few that just never stop talking, it's annoying listening non stop to all the drama in this persons life. It wouldn't be fair not to mention that the manager, Eric is very hard working. When he is there you can walk in the door at 5:30 AM when they open and it is ready to go....coffee made, half & half out, sugar, sweeteners filled. Unfortunately, he's not much friendlier. The bagels are okay, sometimes they seem doughy as if not quite cooked. the coffee is usually just a touch above warm. The place is also freezing cold. It doesn't matter what the temperature outdoors is, it can be 75, or 32, but the blowers are on full blast....bring layers. I don't order that much, usually just coffee and a bagel, but I just checked Quick Books and in the last 12 months I've spent well over $600 here. I now only come here when I absolutely need to and I'm as unfriendly as I can muster. Einstein's on Ina and Shannon is much better. I've been going there on and off for about the same amount of time. My husband and I have been coming to this location gor many years as it is only within a few blocks from where we live. It has always been one of our favorite go to places that we love bringing our out of town friends and family to. However, as of late, ESPECIALLY today, I am questioning continuing to give this location anymore business. The customer service is down right atrocious. Today, I went in to order and from the moment the interaction with the girl behind the counter started she was absolutely snotty and rude. My husband wanted a farmhouse sandwich with the pepper set that goes on the western. She rolled her eyes and said "so you want the western" I said, "no, I still would like the farmhouse but with the peppers that goes on the western." She clearly seemed annoyed. I requested the rest of our order, paid, and patiently waited at the end of the counter. She then proceeded to start reiterating the conversation to her coworkers loud enough for me to hear at the end of the counter to the point I had to ask to speak to the manager. She then rolled her eyes and the girl who was the stand in manager stated this was the second complaint they have recieved about her since yesterday and she will probably have to be sent home. I truly hope the customer service in this place...

You would think this place would be really nice considering it's in oro valley. Well you would be wrong. I always judge a place by their bathroom. It was disgusting. It was picked up it just hadnt been scrubbed clean in a long time. The toilet inside was orange and they had this mat on the floor around the toilet that was filthy. Looks like it had pee all over it. I should of went into bathroom first then I wouldn't have eaten here. But I had to learn the hard way. I got my bagel with cream cheese and it tasted like fish and onions. Apparently they are using the same knife to spread the cream cheese on all the bagels. They have a salmon flavored cream cheese and a chive flavored cream cheese. I apparently got a little bit of someone elses cream cheese. It was really disgusting. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel, fish and chives do not go together with cinnamon raisin. I will not be back and I will be telling my friends about this nasty place. Only way I would ever go back is if someone from this place contacted me and tells me they will be making some...
