Thought of a few ways to start this out and I just have to bite the bullet, I won't come back.
Entering you are greeted warmly and you see the establishment you are about to partake in, decently fine dining. Sat at the bar while the bartender was busy looking at the pos with a server. She turned around and handed me and a gentlemen next to me the menus and said she would be right back. Which gave both of us time to read the menus and decide on what we'd like. She took his order and then took mine, a spicy paloma, followed by mussels. Soon my drink was before me, tasted it. Tasted it again. Stared at it, wondered what I was drinking. Paloma is a strong drink to me in the regard that it has strong citrus fruits, tequila and their version added an habanero tincture. Nothing. This was the most bland boring drink I might have come across. I almost wished there was campari or something that I hate in it so I could say I don't like this for a reason other than, this water has more flavor than this cocktail. Other qualm I picked up on was the bartender, she acted busy, but wasn't making drinks or for that matter, had many tables ( a two top which were her friends [ I'll go into that more] me, the gentleman and another two top). Her comments to people were as bland and unfriendly as the drink. Then her and her friend were talking about how she acts wasted and the last time they drank. I get it, it's a restaurant, I was in the industry and there were parties, drinks and more, but don't talk loudly about it at the bar. This isn't a club, you aren't off duty and as stated above, I expected a bit more from the establishment. Was going to order more food but after these points, I stuck with my mussels. Only good thing here for me was the amount you got and the size, everything else from the flavor, sauce just didn't do it for me. I asked for salt, not because I love salt but because it lacked...
Read moreOver the summer this place gave me the genuine worst service I have ever received. We had a party of 8 for my birthday dinner and upon entering the restaurant we were greeted extremely rudely by the bartender since we came in the “ wrong door” though it looked to be the front. A server then ushered us to follow her but never actually gestured to us where it was so we followed her in a loop! when she saw we were still following her she was annoyed and pointed us in the opposite direction. She never specified we were going to the hostess stand and made us all feel like idiots. They made a big deal out of sitting outside (noted on reservation) and so we sat inside in the darkest and saddest corner of the the entire restaurant. The waitress was the WORST. She was disrespectful to my vegetarian friends regarding the ceaser salad and continued to be extremely cold and rude. We were informed that although they set our reservation at 8 we could not order food past 8:30. The cooks even peeked out and have our table dirty looks! They rushed our food and it was nothing special. Special thank you to the Lake Room for the worst birthday dinner i...
Read moreOur experience here was a disappointment. We really wanted to support a new, local restaurant but will not be going back. I cannot provide a review of the food, because we never received what we ordered. We had a reservation, were seated when we got there, but then waited for about 20 minutes before anyone even brought us water or asked to take a drink order. After another 20 minutes, our drinks got to our table, however no one took our food order. Finally, more than 50 minutes after we originally sat down, a waitress for another table was nice enough to take our dinner order. Unfortunately, we never received our food. After waiting another 30 minutes after we ordered, I finally went inside to pay the bill for our drinks so that we could just leave. The waiter who was apparently supposed to be helping us simply told me that they were busy tonight, which was his excuse for never stopping by our table, taking our orders, or bringing our food out in the course of nearly an hour-and-a-half.
Maybe they need to work out some of the logistics yet, but this was a real...
