Food: 3/5 (Decent food!) Service: 4/5 (Lovely staff) Atmosphere: 4/5 (Older setting)

Today, I experienced Nikki's Cafe. Located in Berrien Springs, Michigan, Nikki's Cafe is a low-key, down to earth Cafe. There was a ton of history in this restaurant.

The food was okay. I enjoyed the eggs, grilled onions, chopped steak, and grits. The menu items were not bad in pricing. To my surprise, an older restaurant like this serves vegan and vegetarian food. It showed they are serving all foodies.

The service was great! I appreciate the hospitality and the way they treat their customers.

The atmosphere appeared to gear toward an older crowd, but the restaurant was clean and homey. There were a lot of black and white pictures on the wall, and the restaurant did not appear to be updated in years.

Nikki's Cafe was good overall. The cafe only takes cash only. I'm grateful for...

Just had a simple to go order. My order was even read back to me.I got all the way home before realizing that my sunny side up eggs had hard yolks and toast was missing. I called and said they had forgotten my toast and was told "maam we are small" and " well you can either come get the toast or $1.50." to which I replied that I am not spending six dollars in gas to come get $1.50. The whole breakfast was only five dollars. If you cannot credit me for screwing up my order, then I will never return. I will not make the mistake of going here again. The best breakfast in town is not saying much either since there are only two cafes in town and they both suck. lol. I will now be making the longer trip out of town to get my breakfast. At least then I know that my order will be right...

A lovely little dinner! It reminded me of a cozy grandparents house, with the style of decor and the friendly atmosphere. The food was wonderful, I got pancakes and they were just perfect. They even made iced coffee for me upon request, and it was surprisingly really good compared to the other places who I've asked to make it.

It can be a little dangerous given it's right next to a very active street so I'd recommend parking and walking down there if you have little ones or anyone who isn't careful about traffic/cars. They do only take cash but it's pretty well priced regardless, I ate out with about 11 other people and it was only 130 without tip!

Would highly recommend! Wish it was closer to my area so I could visit...

**Update May 28, 2023 Had the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Special today, with fried eggs. So good! My friend ordered the strawberry pancakes. Big as the dinner plate, topped with real strawberry sauce. Next time he'll order two instead of three. It was a lot of food! Service was a little slower than usual, but the food was worth the wait. 🙂 --Nikki's is a nice little diner. The food is good, attractive decor, good location. Phone lines are down, and it is cash only now. Hours posted on window, but it hadn't always been open when I tried. Otherwise, it's a good spot, beloved by locals, many of whom use the back entry.

Warning: cash only. This place is what I seek in a diner! In my opinion, this place should market their meat more proudly; Zick’s is a real treat! The gravy is peppery like I like it. The bacon is thin and crispy- great if you’re into that. In my opinion, crispy hash browns would be a superior choice in the context of the Magic Mountain instead of american fries because the pile is pretty mushy and some textural diversity would work better. We liked the omelette as well. We like the coffee (for diner coffee). For some reason, their onions taste better than most onions. The people here seem genuine, which is nice.
