Twisted Tony's — Restaurant in Osage Beach

Had heard all good things about this place, so decided to give it a try. Walked in about 4:30pm, lights on, no one there. Back door was open & we saw a guy working on his vehicle. Turned out he was going to take our order & make our sandwiches. (interesting) The whole time I'm thinking, do I really want him to make my sandwich with motor oil or grease on his hands? He washed his hands, then put on mechanic's gloves...oh yeah, that's better. While he fumbled with his gloves & gathered items he needed for constructing 2 Special Italian subs, I was noticing the grungy condition behind the counter. There were 2 large chunks of beef(?) sitting near the sink. They appeared to be cooked, dried out & a weird brownish color. Who knows how long it'd been there, un-refridgerated at room temperature? My husband guessed most of the day; I guessed it had been there a week. I was relieved it wasn't going to be used for our order. Finally, the order was ready. Two small subs & 2 bags of chips (included with the subs). We also bought 2 bottles of water, a dollar each. We almost choked when the total came to over $32. A bit rich for a couple little subs. They were soggy from too much watery Italian dressing soaking the rolls & the paper they were wrapped in stuck to the roll. Yuck The meats weren't very good... tough, almost no cheese & maybe a 1/2 pepperocini with limp lettuce. Tomato? I don't remember. Very disappointing; so bad we threw them away after a few bites. I tried placing an order on DoorDash and it told me that they couldn’t reach the business. I called and the girl said on her end it’s because we didn’t pay. That makes no sense since you have to pay before them sending the order. We discussed that we would try Uber eats and they said the restaurant is too busy. So I call her again and she said that it was because of me. Ummm no ma’am. I told her what it said so she said you can just come and grab it. So we placed the order and drove 15 mins away and we get there and no one is in the restaurant except for the two workers. We grab our food and get home and the food is horrible!!!! Stale and soggy chips for the frito chili pie. And missing items on it. They use the same meat for the bbq sandwich and twisted Philly cheesesteak and the beef tastes like hotdog water. The potato salad is disgusting. The only good thing we had was the Zapps potato chips. Also when arriving the girl finally admitted they turned the DoorDash and Uber eats off and don’t know how to turn it back on. She wasted 45 mins of our time!!!!!! You called me and told me that I shouldn’t place the review I did. That’s very unprofessional. Just as I said and will post on here if need be. Frito pie says jalapeño and lettuce on it and you told me no it doesn’t. I went to your site and took a picture of the description. We didn’t like the food and that’s it. It has nothing to do with DoorDash. Instead of attacking people maybe understand that things are good at your place of...

We pulled in at 1125 on a Thursday thinking, wow they aren't busy at all...glad we beat the lunch crowd, we must have brought them...line 10 deep behind us...we had group of 5 and spent $70...I will be dreaming of my Cuban for a long time,, it was delicious...my husband got the boozy bird...it claimed to have bell peppers on it but only found jalapeños...was a bit spicy till I removed them but that sandwich also was terrific...we were from out of state so not sure when we'd make it back to this town, but if we do I'd definitely eat here again...girl who took our order was polite, friendly and quick...5 stars all...
