I'm updating my initial review because I've been back a handful of times. This place has absolutely wonderful food! The meals I've had here lately have been really-really-really good. Breakfast and lunch were deliciously tasty. And I've had good service! This is one of the better places to eat in Oshkosh. I give this place a thumbs up! My initial review is below. But I had to update with 5 stars!
I did not have good service. Granted, it was busy but it is a small place. I had a long wait to get service. And after eating there was another long wait to get the check. I had the wrap. It was good. They asked if I wanted ham or turkey in it? I said ham. That cost 4 extra bucks for a few scraps of ham tossed inside! About 16 bucks for a breakfast wrap is way to expensive and not worth it for me. The wrap was good but no way worth 16 bucks. I didn't have a good experience here and feel I paid way to much for what I got. I do not think I will ever eat...
Read moreThis place was a madhouse on Saturday morning around 9:30, even on a rainy day, so with that in mind we were anticipating a magnificent breakfast.
First off - have you heard of a Sake Bloody Mary? This has to be the craziest idea ever! But oh boy was it a good one!! Really enjoyed the drink, the beer back wasn't to my taste but nonetheless, it was offered, so that was good.
We ordered the Spinach Quiche and a side of uncured ham, yes, you read that right - uncured ham! (for the one who is allergic to the sodium nitrate/nitrite curing agents, the unexpected surprise of uncured ham was truly wonderful) and, it was tasty too! Also ordered eggs benedict, which came with scrambled eggs - so not traditional and not to my breakfast buddy's liking. Coffee was good, but the raspberry chocolate one was quite bitter.
All in all, given how busy this place was upon our arrival and departure, might be worth a second visit...
Read morePilora's Cafe is a unique and delicious cafe in Oshkosh. The atmosphere is very cozy and quaint and the service was spectacular! The food all appears to be made in house so it is very fresh and tasty. They have many interesting combinations that sound amazing. The sandwiches we had (Big Ben and Greek Burger) were so good. Who would have thought putting mac n cheese on a sandwich could be so awesome? A definite highlight is the side item choices. I had the Apple Waldorf salad and my date had the garbanzo salad. Both good enough by themselves to rate their own return visit. I almost failed to mention that they have amazing coffee drinks (my dirty chai latte was on point!) and they have local crafted kombucha on draft! I've attached pictures of the menu. Go try them...
