Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Ottumwa

We went on a Thurs for lunch. We used the app to order ahead of time and are so glad we did! When we arrived at about 11:45am the drive thru was about 7 cars back. Only a handful of cars in the stalls. We pulled into a stall, entered in the number in the app and checked in. Within 3-5min our food arrived at our window. The hot food was fresh and hot. The cold drinks and desserts were cold and frozen. Highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwich add bacon. Our only complaint was the tight squeeze in the parking stall. We have been here 3 times..... #1-The grill was broken. Only serving drinks. #2-Ordered 2 Diet Strawberry Limeades. The guy wanted to know if I wanted extra "cherries" in my Limeade, I thought, why would I want Cherries in my Strawberry Limeade? I said "no, and it's a diet". He changed it. We get our drinks, there's NO strawberries AT ALL in it! All the other Sonics we've been to ALWAYS have strawberries added in our Limeade. So, I just thought he made a mistake. #3-So we give them another try.... ordered 2 Diet Strawberry Limeades WITH EXTRA STRAWBERRIES. After 10-15 minutes (Just 2 drinks, that's slow!), surprise........NO STRAWBERRIES! Three strikes, you're out. We are done...

Had to wait 45 minutes to pick up a shake and an ice cream from a mobile order. After checking in, I also rang the stall two more times to remind them that we were still there. Would be fine it was a one off thing, but this has happened on two other occasions now.

Additionally, when they did finally bring out my order, the employee was impolite and only apologized after I had asked why the order had taken 45 minutes (was told they "sometimes don't get the mobile orders).

If you're going here, just use the drive thru because the Sonic employees can't handle stall orders and...
