My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. He recommended we have Chinese. So we drove to one we both knew well. But before we went in, we noticed this place. I've been watching my diet so we thought maybe this would be a good alternative. When we went in, we saw a beautiful spread of homemade treats in the display counter. 🫠 We instantly knew we made the better choice. It was a wonderful experience! The staff was very personable. Especially the kind lady who took our order! The food was phenomenal. I wish I had pictures because the presentation was excellent. We ended with some Turkish coffee that was full of flavor and very robust. ☕️ We were treated with a dessert, baklava, (SO good!) from the hostess for our special day. She also interacted with our baby and made us feel so welcomed! It was the best experience I've had since having my infant. I could write so much more, but I'll just say, we will...
Read moreWe went to Mediterranean Taste for the second time today, and are already planning our next visit. The food is freshly prepared and delicious and the chef/owner obviously takes great pride in the food he serves.
Our group had the falafel, grilled chicken and beef and lamb gyro (shawarma) and it was all delicious. On the first visit, I was surprised that my wrap came in a tortilla, which was good, but not traditional. This time I asked for it in a pita and it was even better.
Before we left, we couldn't resist taking home some freshly made baklava for later.
On the first visit we did carryout, but this time we ate in the simple, but clean and pleasant dining room and enjoyed chatting with our chef. Mediterranean Taste is a wonderful addition to the South OP restaurant scene. I highly recommend you give it a try for something fresh, different and...
Read moreI had the mixed plate with lentil soup. It was definitely enough for one meal but was hoping to make two out of it but the portion wasnt big enough for two.. less than I expected based on other kabob plates Ive had elsewhere. The flavor was good, the kafta was a little tough, maybe overdone.. unable to cut with a plastic fork, had to use a knife.. the salad was excellent.. nice and green and not just a bunch of romaine like everywhere else.. the rice had a nice spice to it.. kind of cinnamon esque maybe.. interesting... overall I enjoyed it but thought the kafta was too tough and portion slightly on the smaller side. The lentil had no whole lentils inside, more of a puree but was good with a dash of salt and pepper. In would eat here again.. the place was busy so expect a wait around lunchtime with minimal seating...
