Hideaway Pizza — Restaurant in Owasso

Let me begin by saying I am not a proponent of leaving a nasty review. However, I will not be treated in this manner, and hopefully can stop someone else from being treated this way. I called in a sandwich order for my mother and I to enjoy at the restaurant. When we arrived, I told hostess we wouldn’t need menus as we already called our order in. Attitude change. She immediately stated we could not do that and went to get her manager. I was appalled at how we were treated. We were told that “some people “ try to avoid the wait by calling in order so corporate policy states can’t do this. He then asked me if we wanted to take our order to go OR cancel that order and place a new on with the waitress. What?! Why would I have to reorder? My sandwiches are already prepared! Now, please understand, there was no line, the restaurant was not busy and my 86 year old mother and I were not trying to “break all the rules “! But at some point I believe if you are a manager of an institution you have to have some people skills. He did not. He was unwilling to budge and escorted us back to pick-up! Not only will I never go back, I will let everyone I know how we were treated. If I had been told when I placed my order TO DINE IN that it wasn’t allowed, I wouldn’t have placed it. Wife and I had her family over and we wanted to give Hideaway pizza a try. We ordered 2 pizza and two sides. When I went to go pick up the pizza they had told me they messed up my wife’s pie and were remaking it, no big deal. When I was leaving they insisted they still give me the messed up pizza for free, how nice!! What’s funny is we ended up liking the pizza they made a mistake on more hahah. The pizza was delicious, the crust reminded me of Costco but the rest of the pizza had its own unique taste. The sides we got were mozzarella sticks and cheese bread. While the pizzas were amazing the cheese sticks were some of the worse we’ve ever had, no cheese pull at all and extremely bland flavor. The cheese bread was nice thick slices of French bread topped with their blend of cheese and seasoning. Would definitely go back again but will avoid trying more sides.

The food and the service from our server were it not an issue at all. It turned into one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. My husband and I ordered cocktails and when the server asked how my husbands drink was he had a suggestion to make it better. Let me be clear that this was never a complaint on our part. He was asked and he suggested a slight change to the drink and ordered a second one. Shortly after the bartender came out to our table and confronted us about the drink and made us very aware that she made it the way “they make” them there. And it gets better, then the manager came over and informed us as well that his bartender was not wrong making the drink the way she did. Not once did we complain about the drink and never asked to speak to a manager. Isn’t it suppose to be the customer that goes to the manager with an issue should there be one? Or, is it common practice for employees to report the customer to the manager? Both of these employees made this into a big deal and it should have never happened!
