This was my first time visiting yesterday with my girlfriend and her family. There was no issue with the food. When it came to the parking, it was extremely limited. Since there were also people who decided to take three entire parking spaces. I ended up having to park across the street to go there. The seating was instantly for us thankfully, so no complaints there.
The main issues arrived with the service. The staff was uncoordinated. We waiting an hour or more before we even got the menus before they realized they didn't give us any. They were really good at giving us refills though with drinks, so no complaints about that. The cooking though, took even longer. My girlfriend had to wait over two hours for the Myras Favorite, which is literally just a sandwich. There's no excuse for that to take over two hours to cook. I was finished eating an hour prior.
She did get her sandwich, and was able to eat just fine. So the check came, and all seemed well at first. Until I saw they do a auto tip of 20 percent. I was not happy with that choice. Customers should be able to tip however they feel like. It shouldn't be forced to a 20% tip, especially when service was long, and not worth the 20%. After the check, the waitress thanked me by addressing me by first name. Which got me by surprised. I don't know them on a personal level, so I don't think it's fine for them to address me in such a manner. But that's more of a personal opinion of mine.
Overall, the service was very mid at best. I don't think I'll ever come back. A place that forces the tip is a big no for me. And the long wait for food was not really worth it. No hate towards my waitress, she was very kind. For the long food wait for just a simple sandwich,...
Read moreWe enjoy trying new restaurants and Briarpatch was recommended by a friend of my husband’s. The friend recommended their steaks and my husband was in the mood for a steak. We arrived at Briarpatch and as we entered the breezeway, there was a picture on the wall of a Tomahawk Pork Chop. It looked mouthwatering and needless to say my husband’s desire for steak left quickly lol I am generally not a steak girl, but I noticed a Filet and Shrimp combo. Our server, Jordan said it is her favorite. Enough said. I ordered Filet and Shrimp and my husband ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop. That Tomahawk Pork Chop was cooked and seasoned to perfection 🧑🍳 💋 So tender, juicy and delicious! My 6oz Filet, even though cooked more med than med rare, as I requested, was still very delicious. It was juicy, tender, flavorful and delicious 🧑🍳 💋 We were both very pleased with our choice. The main reason I wanted to go is “The Salad Bar” it most certainly did not disappoint. So many items to choose from and everything was fresh. So so good! A bonus is, the All You Can Eat Salad Bar comes with your entree 🤗 We also decided to try dessert. We chose the Caramel Brownie Cheesecake. Even though it is not made in house, it was very good! When we arrived we were greeted with smiles and kindness. Jordan, our server was amazing. Crystal, one of the managers was helping on the floor and taking great care of customers as well. Bethany, another manager was also very kind and helpful. Needless to say, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Briarpatch!

Read moreThis place just looks, feels, smells and tastes like an old country restaurant. And it is! But it also serves great food! They have a great selection of steaks, including some seafood options, as well as other standard country fare. We decided to go here for our anniversary, because it served steak and it had good ratings.
I ordered the bacon-wrapped filet mignon--but what is so great about this place, is you can order the size you want. A 6-oz steak just seems a little too little to me, so I up-sized a couple ounces which made it just right. Flavor was terrific with their "house seasonings".
My wife ordered the filet and lobster tail. It came with a smaller filet (4-oz?), but a pretty large lobster tail. She enjoyed both.
The salad bar was well-stocked and had the expected necessaries. The salad served as a fine precursor to our main courses.
Amanda was our server, and she was attentive, friendly and very helpful.
Although dinner can be a bit costly, especially if you (special) order steaks, the prices are not unreasonable. We found the meal was well worth the price. The atmosphere was comfy and cozy--this is not a fancy place, so come casual!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal in a...
