The Spot Coffee and Finery — Restaurant in Owensboro

So first off I typically do not write reviews for businesses especially negative ones but I was left with a few concerns about this place. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was an employee holding an infant while she was making coffee. I am not quite sure if that is allowed. I also noticed that another gentleman working there looked as if he was inebriated or under the influence of something. It is a small shop so not many things can go unnoticed there. I heard conversations between the two employees that were not appropriate for customers to hear. I actually turned around and left the place because I just could not bring myself to stay. I'm scared to imagine what activities may be going on...

Arrived shortly before close, so take my review with a grain of salt.

Had a Autumn Matcha Latte, a "frozen hot chocolat mocha", and a Mango smoothie. Smoothie was utterly bland and lackluster, with an odd bitter aftertaste. Matcha Latte tasted strongly of Maple with no Matcha flavor whatsoever. Hot chocolate mocha was devoid of any chocolat flavor and simply tasted like an iced mocha.

Guy behind the counter was irritable and vocally complained about us and a small family showing up right at close.

I'm usually one to promote small local businesses, but I can't find it in me to say if come back to this one or recommend...

This place is absolutely what Owensboro needs. Local, supportive of local artists and creatives, funky, original.... We recently moved back here from Louisville and have been missing our funky shops and coffee spots we would frequent. This is hands down what I have been wanting here! I BEG of you all, please support it! Show this place love because they're not only amazing people, the coffee is outstanding, the atmosphere is great, and they are working to help support local artists and companies as well! Let's make Owensboro a buy local city! This place is helping tons...
