El Molcajete Mexican Cuisine east — Restaurant in Owensboro

I had such high hopes for this to be my Mexican restaurant of choice, those hopes were dashed tonight not by the taste of the food, not by the service but by the young gentleman that says he is half owner of the restaurant at time of check out. Myself and my husband had both ordered wings, we asked upon ordering could we get the 20 wings and have 2 different sauces, we were told yes. When we got the ticket we were charged individual orders. My husband asked at checkout if it could be put at one order as that is what we were told and the young man became very defensive and his anger showed. Multiple times he asked our name like he was going to come after us. Again we have been to this establishment many times since its opening and tonight we were treated as if we were trying to steal from the restaurant. We were both very embarrassed...

As an Ex-Southern Californian I know mexican food and the first couple restaurants we tried out here in Owensboro lacked flavor and any kind of spice to their food. So we gave El Molcajete a try and I am so glad we did because they did not disappoint. All of dishes tasted amazing, the level of spice to the food and salsa was perfect.
