Made the mistake of coming here last night after the restaurant I had originally reserved a table for closed early and didn't tell me before my bf and I had already driven to it. The only reason we came here was because real restaurants were all closing. I knew coming here was a mistake. Even though we were the only ones waiting in the drive thru, we still had to wait 15 minutes for our food. I wondered if they were doing something to my food because I said the staff at the restaurant we just came from were incompetent. I don't know if the guy at the drive thru register heard and thought I was talking about the staff there, or if they just wanted to mess with a ww as a "joke". The fact that the woman who brought us the food didn't say anything when she brought it to us made me even more suspicious. My suspicions were confirmed today because I've been very sick from having eaten the food from there. This hasn't been the only time I've gotten bad food service from places in Oxford and Henderson, so here's my warning: If you're white, don't go to any fast food places in Oxford or Henderson unless you want to deal with racism and end up sick from them messing with your food or giving you bad...
Read moreThe service is friendly and the food is good but you can really tell this place is attached to gas station because they are always out of stuff. Usually its spicy tenders. Once they were out for more than 3 days straight. I mean how does that happen? I've also seen them out if tenders completely or out of kinds of dipping sauce. Ridiculous.
UPDATE: Out of chicken tenders again. I just don't understand how that even happens.
This happens all the time. They are out of spicy, regular or both.
I mean, I know I shouldn't expect much from a Popeye's attached to a GAS STATION, but at the very least they would have one of the main products they sell that occupies at least 25% of their meals isn't too much to ask.
They're always out of something. I feel like it's a game of fast food roulette when I get there. I always feel I should ask them what they're out of...
Read moreFirst I waited in an empty drive through for 15ish minutes after the cashier said "one minute please". Then received wrong items (2 total) Drove through for full remake. Finally received two sandwiches that appeared to be spitefully smothered in the sandwiches sauces... So much to them being a nuisance to manage, and had to replace the sandwiches myself. Never again will I go here. My experience is most restaurants are consistent, here's to hoping all other Popeyes aren't as aweful as this one. This was my first experience at a Popeyes after hearing how bad I need to try them for YEARS. I don't see the appeal after this at all. The staff didn't even apologize. Just stone cold looks as if I was the unreasonable party for insisting on having what I asked for... I didn't even want to make a big deal of this, but wow... It was really...
