Sno Biz — Restaurant in Oxford

While I appreciate that what were once steep prices— by barely budging in the years since I was kid at Sno Biz—have slowly eased down to something reasonable today, the complacency-driven adjustment comes with the number of annoyances common to old businesses whose owners become convinced that their business is sustained by its unaltered operations over time.

...As almost always, that includes insistence on not accepting any card as payment (though, bizarrely, personal checks are welcome). Adding insult to injury, any mention of credit cards is met with the party line about card processing fees exceeding their entire profit, which, now that card processing is not a secret detail of mysterious financial departments, is absolutely a lie. No one foots sales tax to simplify changemaking if it's eating ⅔ the profit, so half that cost as card fees won't make you bankrupt. Next time, don't be so insistent on lying to me and maybe I'll remember the decent value and fun flavors instead of fiscal outrage when I'm picking the number of stars describe...

This should be your go to ice cream place in Oxford. Snow cones are super delicious, with a great consistency. Also, the prices are VERY reasonable. 10 times out of 10 I’d choose this over the Oxford creamery. Can’t recommend enough. It’s cash only, sure, but who...

Quick, polite service. The prices are moderate. They offer a multitude of flavors for the snow cones. They even have ice cream and milkshakes with many toppings options.

Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that the business is cash...
