Some bomb huevos rancheros, makes me appreciate the little simple dishes that they serve. No meat for lent, and I donāt miss it. So much flavor. Friendly servers. The serve Mexican coffee, if you are into a sweet coffee with cinnamon then this place will put a smile on your on your face.
The sauce is cheesy and they incorporate mild chilis and onions in their sauce. I chose double beans, not spicy at all, but very flavorful.
Iāve been bragging to my wife how great these rancheros are, I finally sent her a photo, her response, that looks freakin delicious. And it was.
I swear if they gave me a cup of this sauce Iād just drink it.
They do serve Menudo, but only on Saturdays and Sunday's. If you want some good food, Annan affordable rate Iād strongly suggest stopping by.
They have a ton of parking available on both sides of the property with free public parking adjacent to there parking lot.
They are closed on Tuesdays, this I found out the hard way.
They have ample counter seating and they can accommodate up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here a few times and always enjoy the food. The salsa is pretty epic, Iin fact. Last time I was there the guy who took my order was great and happily let me have a special order of something that wasn't exactly on the menu (but they had all of the ingredients for). He was really friendly and seemed to enjoy giving good service. Today was a different story. The lady that took my order absolutely refused to modify my order. I couldn't even get a scoop of guacamole on the side, even if I paid extra for it. No, I would have to get a big tub for $5. I really should have left since there is no shortage of good Mexican food on this street. Honestly, I just stopped since I needed a break from driving (Santa Barbara to Santa Monica). She really wasn't nice at all. I doubt I'll ever go back, you can literally walk to other good food in the area from here. Maybe it's harsh but I'm more selective these days with who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hesitate to write this review because I donāt know that I want everyone to know what a gem this place is! Hands down the best huevos rancheros Iāve ever had and Iāve eaten a lot of huevos rancheros. The ranchero sauce is delicious, eggs are cooked perfectly and the beans are deliciously creamy. Rice is tasty too. The house salsa is mild but very fresh. The Cafe de Olla is so good. Itās hard to find a restaurant that offers it so itās such a treat to have it. It can definitely get busy especially for breakfast on the weekends but itās worth the wait. The wait staff are extremely friendly...
