We tried Primas about a year ago. It was okay, and we hadn't been back since tonight. It was not a good experience.
When we arrived, we asked the hostess if we could sit on the patio. They told us there wasn't available seating, so they started looking for a table inside for us. The weather was goregous, so we assumed everyone wanted to sit out there - no big deal. We saw that the bar had several high tops open, so we asked to sit at one. The hosts said the bartender was taking care of the patio AND the bar, but there were three hosts.
Our drinks arrived after our food (we understand that the bartender was swamped). Ordered the taco salad and it arrived sitting in meat juice. It took an entire napkin to soak up.
I ate a few bites, but that was it. It was cold, had no flavor, and honestly looked sad sitting in its puddle. The waitress asked if I needed a to-go box, and I told her that it wasn't good and had been sitting in meat juice. She said she noticed it when she brought it to me. She was young and was trying her best; the service was good from her! Minus the part about her noticing the condition of my food.
The manager awkwardly came by our table. We noticed him coming, then circling to the host stand, before coming back to our table. He casually asked "Everything okay over here?" And when I said, "Umm, not really", he just walked off. I don't know if he didn't want to deal with it? It was an odd conversation.
We were still charged for the taco salad, even though we ordered drinks too. Bummer, because we try to eat at local, small restaurants. The top shelf margarita was good, but we...
Read moreMy wife and I love this place! As a disabled veteran, we normally get them delivered but tonight we decided to dine inside. First thing we noticed was they were doing a great job keeping people spaced apart and everything very clean. My wife ordered the Fajita Nachos. While the flavor was great, the chips underneath were completely soggy. They have really thin chips and that did it. The good news was they provide plenty of chips and salsa, so she used the crispy chips and still had a great dinner. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. They flavor was wonderful and there were plenty of shrimp. My only complaints about the dish are the portion sizes of the fajita sides. There was a small scoop of sour cream and guacamole, a small amount of cheese and tomatoes. I had to ask for extra tortillas and was surprised to have a 50 cents charge on the bill. Still, this is a great place to eat and recommend it to anyone in the area or traveling through. One last note. Sometimes the GPS location puts them on the East side of 65 across from Lamberts. They are on the West side of 65, so...
Read moreI ordered catering for a special event. Most places I called open at 11:00am for lunch, and they were not willing to have an order ready for pickup before that time. Not only did Prima's Ozark agree to have the order ready by 10:30, they actually did have it ready! That made it possible for us to get the food to our location, get it set up, and ready to serve our guests by 11:00am. The food was fantastic! As a matter of fact, our guests loved it so much I called back after the first event and increased the order for the following day. The young woman who answered the phone on my original order, as well as today when I called back to increase the order, is incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and she follows through. The manager also spoke with me regarding a question he had about the original order. He couldn't have been more accommodating. He also thanked me for my order. That doesn't seem to be the norm anymore - thanking someone for spending money with your business - but it is the case at...
