Maru Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in Ozark

Do NOT waste your time supporting this place!! I’ve waited a couple of weeks to write this review as I was super disappointed from our visit to this establishment. We should have left when the waitress told us as she seated us that they were closing the kitchen in 15 minutes so if we wanted anything from there we needed to hurry. My husband asked what time they closed and she said they were open for another hour. We placed our order quickly - Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. I had previously ordered the Pad Thai there and loved it…this time it was so incredibly spicy that I couldn’t eat it. My husband asked the waitress if something had changed in the way they prepared it and she said they had a new menu, then came back and said the oil was different. We asked to see the menu and as my husband was looking at it she very hatefully asked him if he found what he was looking for. We pointed out where the menu says nothing about the Pad Thai being spicy and told her we didn’t want to pay for it. She disappeared into the back and then came back to tell us that the owner had left and no one else had a register code to do refunds. She told me to call the next day to request a refund. So called the next day and the owner apologized- said the waitress had entered the order as spicy and said he would refund my card later that day - big surprise my card was NEVER refunded. Their sushi is amazing! Every time I go there I enjoy my food and it's wonderfully Plated. Unfortunately their customer service is awful. My experience today alone was probably the worst although the other times weren't that great either... Sit down and order. Sever does not take our menus so I had to sit them on the other table so we'd have room to eat. We get our soup and when we're finished and receive our sushi the plates and the soup bowls are not picked up, so again we're limited on space. Our friend got a sushi that's in the Shape of a ball and its super yummy but impossible with chop sticks. We were never offered silverware. Nor did we see our sever often enough to ask for some. They're too busy in the back. We're done and the wait for our check is a little long but not to bad. The consistent problem with this place is getting the check and the server NEVER COMING BACK. This has happened to be on many separate experiences. We can clearing see them cleaning in the back and they never come out again. 2 times we've had to have an owner or sushi chef take our check. We were also the ONLY people in the restaurant. So it's not like he was extra busy. I love the food, so I'll still order carry out, but I'm never dining in again. I have a different server every time and it's always...

Ordered 6 sushi rolls tonight ask for spicy mayo with each roll got home and not 1 spicy sauce. Called went back the guy brought 2 sauces out. So asked for more he brought 1 more out and a 1 eel sauce. Again we called back and the would not give us any unless we paid for more. Then this guy who we talk to hung up on my husband. So we got our sushi 30 minutes ago so now our fried sushi is cold!!! The last time we went they double charged my debit card had to go in and prove it to them and it took a week to get my money back. They never have offered to compensate us for anything! This has been ALL their mistakes!!! This will be the last time I will do business with them again! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
