After years of driving on I-10 between Louisiana and West Coast, I recently discovered this little gem that is Ozona Donuts. A family owned shop with the best coffee and homemade breakfast selection to get you ready for a new day on the road. I’ve tried a really big sausage, egg and cheese croissant (the egg being a whole fried egg and not that yellowish thing you find usually at any fast-food), a tasty pig in a blanket (a little small, but for $1.50 worth the price), the best apple fritter I’ve ever had (and a huge one), a fresh cinnamon sugar donut and the best coffee with free refill you can get somewhere on I-10 any morning. I was driving through and stopped during dinner time. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had shrimp fried rice, the food was fresh and delicious. It was nice to find this restaurant, I was looking for something other than the common fast food chains or tex-mex and this place didn’t disappoint, it lived up to its rating.
