I honestly don't know where to start. Ordered online at 8:35 am. Promptly received notification to pick up order at 9. Arrived at 9. Went to the pickup counter to retrieve my order. A very emotionless awkward young lady told me it wasn't ready yet. No problem! So I waited and waited and waited and waited. Approximately 10 minutes later they called out my name for one of our drinks. I assumed the whole order was complete. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, two hot drinks and one treat. The gal that I previously mentioned then told me she would give me my drink when everything else was ready. Fair enough! So I waited and waited and waited until 9:20. At this time another young lady came to the pickup area and started recalling orders that had been piling up over the course of the 20 minutes I was there. So I asked her about my online order. She turned around to a bag on the counter right behind the emotionless one. She picked up that bag and two coffees that by this time were Luke warm and she handed them to me. She then told me that she was out of the treat that we ordered and gave me the option to substitute. I, fortunately chose Cinnamon Bliss. It was the only thing good about the entire order. We read so many reviews before deciding to order from Stimulus that didn't have the greatest things to say about the long waits. I was very impressed with the managers responses so we chose to overlook what people said and give it a try. It was truly a disappointment all around! I wanted the negative reviews to be proven wrong but it just didn't work out that way. I hope Stimulus can figure out a way to fix their broken system. Try to pinpoint a more effective way of doing business. One more thing to note. $48 dollars for two lattes, two sandwiches and a treat is pretty excessive, don't you think?
Addendum to original review:
Dear Management Team, After looking back through over a year's worth of reviews I have noticed a common theme. 1. being slow service. 2. being poor customer service and 3. being high pricing. In every response you say, "we are working with the team to make improvements." Yet for two years now it seems not a lot has changed? Also, as I noted at the end of my original review, the high prices. You never address the exorbitant pricing especially where it is met with poor quality and poor customer service. I understand you do have a lot of good reviews that you feel might offset this issue but even when you look through the good reviews there are people that mention the prices being above average. I understand you do this because you can! You are catering to a resort style area that draws a lot of above average earners. But you also have those of us out there that earn a middle class wage that still want to vacation and enjoy local amenities without feeling like you are being taken advantage of. We will usually pay the higher prices when in an area that caters more to the upper crust but we definitely expect above average service with some smiles and warmth. Thanks for reading my rant. Hope you guys do better. I am also hopeful for your...
Read moreIt’s clear why so many choose this cafe - great food options, Pastries and coffee! And oh wow is it busy. It’s the only coffee shop really in the area even though you can get coffee elsewhere.Prices are exactly what you’d expect somewhere like this and cute place!
Low rating because I waited an hour this morning for two breakfast sandwiches and a cold brew (the scone was given to me right away). The coffee they had accidentally made wrong - no problem that happens! They took it back to remake and then 20 minutes later gave me a variation of another wrong drink which was too bad but figured I’d drink it anyways, close enough. The breakfast sandwiches I realized I took were unfortunately someone else’s who had come in probably 30-40 people after me who ordered the same thing (I didn’t realize till after I left). Meaning, I would’ve waited for an hour for food that was never going to arrive for me. The only person who was concerned that I had been waiting so long was another customer who was in and out in normal timing. They were very busy so I’m sure things like this happen, but it was sad to have this be my first experience seeing the disorganization for orders. I feel horrible having put someone else possibly in the same situation! My feedback is honestly just that there would be a better system for orders to make sure everyone’s food is accounted for.
A very big positive is that if you stay at the Inn they will do 15 minute delivery and it is amazing!! During busy weekends that is officially the route we...
Read moreBring back the vegan egg sandwich please! I was sad to see the sign said "sold out" on the vegan egg sandwich, and when I asked about it, the gal at the register said they don't do that anymore. After clarification, they said they haven't made them in awhile and probably aren't bringing them back. I asked a different barista about the drop muffin being vegan and she said "it's on the sign" - SO RUDE. My actual barista was very sweet though.
Ended up getting a hot chocolate (chocolate sauce is vegan, per barista) & a drop muffin (there is just the one flavor) and it was delicious! Bonus that it's gluten-free.
Pros: many vegan options, line moved quickly even though they were VERY busy, free wifi, charging ports, great location (you can see the beach!)
Cons: Coffee seemed pricey - especially with the $1 upcharge for dairy free milk, sell out of many items,...
