Drifters Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Paddock Lake

I had the occasion to go to Drifter's last week. I guess that I'm spoiled by my normal place to go for a couple of beers and ocasional take out food. The last time I went for takeout to Drifter's it took me 20 minutes to get waited on for a beer! I gave up trying to order something for takeout after another 15 minutes of no service. Figured I'd try again. Lots of turnover in this place, every time I go there it's different people. They have a decent selection of beer on tap and the usual bar liquor. But I normally drink IPA on tap. The cost is 4.75 for a 12 oz glass vs 4.00 for the same beer at my usual place. The food I've had in the past is okay, but not as good as the quality and selection I have at my usual place. Overall like I said I'm spoiled by my usual place which is Sieberts! Food was ok, bartender and cook not friendly at all. Had to ask for everything including the menu and condiments. but to beat all, after eating, I observed the cook bring out 2 pizza crusts to prepare and cook. He started with the sauce and stopped to get some people drinks. He picked up their glasses that they had been using, refilled them, took their money and when done went back to making the pizza's without washing his hands. He pulled out a package of sausage, dug his hands into it and pulled apart little pieces to spread over the pizza. He then dug his hands into the cheese bin several times doing the same and put the rest of the cheese in his hand back into the bin. I was outraged and screaming inside! I wife left to use the washroom because she knew was was going to happen next. I let the cook know that he should not be cooking , EVER! No sign of rubber gloves around...

Spent about $70.00 on food and it was horrible. The tator tots tasted absolutely disgusting. Not sure if it was the oil they used or what. I couldn't even eat more than the one, it was that bad. My daughters chicken fingers were so over done you could barely bite into it. Not to mention the portion was laughable. There were probably about 12 fries and 2 little measly pieces of chicken.
