Los Tres Lagos — Restaurant in Paddock Lake

I was tired and hungry after work, so my husband and I decided to try Los Tres Lagos in Paddock Lake, last night. We were immediately welcomed with a kind smile and prompt service including fresh crispy tortilla chips and excellent mild and hot homemade salsa. My mood changed on the spot. :) The waitress was very kind and patient about coming back for our order as they had a five page menu we wanted to check out. My husband ordered chimichangas and I had the chicken tostadas dinner. We were even offered more chips & salsa, though our dinners didn't take long. The presentation was beautifully perfect! I could tell it was prepared with care and the freshness of the ingredients was beyond impressive, including the beans and rice. Honestly, the best I've ever had! My husband agreed. He also enjoyed his chimi's, fresh and not greasy. From being welcomed and made to feel appreciated by the help and the owner(?), to prompt & friendly service, and some of the best Mexican fare we've had... we'll be back!! Also the lighting and atmosphere was very pleasant (I always like to "see" my food), with tablecloths and the warmth of Christmas decorations. Four other couples entered the restaurant after we did... Glad to see word is...

Great food, but super rude owner. The sign said one price for domestics (6 for $20). We ordered blue moon based on the list on our table and they ran out, so we got 5 blue moons and 1 Spotted cow. Then, we were charged $25 because blue moon is considered an import, despite the menu on the table. The owner came to talk to us about it and was rude and walked away while we were taking with her! She kept saying the menu on the table was old and that blue moon is an import, not a domestic. It is made in Colorado!!! And also, if the menus are old, remove them, that is not our problem! False advertising. Beware! Great food, but may not be back if someone like this is running the place. I felt badly for our server who felt she just had to honor what the owner...

I went in excited cause that picture outside of a strawberry margarita got my attention but 15 minutes in it was pure disappointment. The A.C unit wasn't working, service got none of that ( a crowd of 15 people) not even including the couple who sat next to me, whom i may say got there 5 minutes after i did, got service before i decided enough was enough and left. I wish i can tell the food was good but can't, I wish can say the service was great but nope and of all things i wish i can tell you that strawberry margarita was delicious but it is hard to say all those things when you get no service.
