The taste of the food is what earned this view more stars...
First letās start with the drive thru. I sat there for probably a minute and a half or so before I asked, āHello...? Is your drive thru open?ā Waited another minute or so before saying āHello?ā again, and nothing. So I give up and pull around to go inside. Turns out the person in front of my mustāve given up too, because that car was nowhere to be found when I pulled around.
So I go inside, and itās not much better.
There was a couple in front of me who ordered sandwiches, one plain and one with no mayo. So the young lady taking the order asks the gentleman preparing food (I guess?) to run to the back and make sure the cook makes one without mayo. The guy says, ā2 chicken sandwiches, one regular, one no mayo. Got it.ā Not being what the girl asked, she says, āNo hurry and tell her... never mind Iāll do it,ā and saunters away. (This part of the story has a point, I promise.)
This really should have been my indication, because that was the slowest āhurryā Iāve ever seen! That exchange took probably 5 minutes. If youāve ever seen the DMV sloth scene from Zootopia, think of that.
Ok. Chicken sandwiches are good (I hope for that coupleās sake). Finally my turn to order! She takes my order in a timely fashion, and everythingās right.
For probably 15 minutes, the couple is still there waiting for their sandwiches, and the dude even starts examining the herbs they have displayed - THATāS how long this is taking! š¤£š¤£ Another man also pulls up to the drive thru window in this time... so yes, they DO utilize the drive thru apparently... when they want to. Iād also like to note, thereās now a different man inside the window (a total of 3 employees behind the counter).
A few minutes later, close to 20 minutes total, I finally get my food and get on my way. Phew!
I wish this was the first time Iād had this type of experience/slow service at this location, but it IS the worst.
I used to work food service, so I totally understand how draining it can be, but COME ON! You have FOUR customers (3 orders) and at least 3 employees working (albeit different stations, but still); it should not take 20 minutes to get pre-cooked food sitting in warmers.

While the food tasted good, the value was terrible. I ordered the three wrong combo. What I didn't realize was that the cost of three wings was the same as the regular three piece combo... So, I paid the same price for three wings, as I would have for three larger pieces of chicken! The wings were tiny. I mean really small. I ordered an extra side, for a total of two sides, one of which was fries. The extra side dish cost me $1.98. For that extra $2, I got about 15 fries. In all fairness, this is not the Popeyes nearest me. The one closest to me had terribly small chicken pieces and portion sizes, so it shouldn't have come as a surprise, here. I thought I'd give them a try, in the hopes that it my experience at the Butler Hill location was a fluke. Sadly, it was not. I do have to give it to them: Consistency - Tiny chicken pieces and small portions - poor value seems to be consistent...

Not certain exactly what I wanted switched order twice, female staff rudely stated this is the last time Iām gonna delete this order. Then had the nerve to hand me a cup with her fingers touching inside. When I requested another explaining why so this rude/disrespectful worker offered to refund monies paid. As another customer observed she shook her head in disbelief as I had to put this individual in her place not once but twice. B4 pulling off lot realized was over charged for order (4pc combo incl 2 sides & drink price 12.79) totaled at $17.20. But tried to convince me that I was not. A couple other staff attempting to co-sign with the coworker knowing this was not of proper behavior. To be funny had actually added an extra side of slaw that I did not ask for which looked gross and smelled sour! The poor etiquette of customer service & greasy/ disgusting food served since COVID is gonna continue to be reason to SHUT these...
