Junction Restaurant — Restaurant in Pagosa Springs

I usually don't do this because I'm pretty understanding as I have worked in a restaurant before and I know some nights can be whatever... But I had such a horrible experience tonight. We waited 40 minutes to be brought an appetizer of nachos deluxe which we had asked for with any veggies to be on the side like... 10 times. Which when it finally did come it wasn't made right. I understand it was one the waitresses first days working there but literally we had to explain to her that we needed it on the side over and over again and she still didn't bring it right and she had asked us if the appetizer should come after the meal. I explained politely that no it was supposed to be before the meal. It all came at once 40 minutes later. My partner got a burger and fries which the fries tasted like they had been sitting out for the whole 40 minutes we were waiting and were cold and stale while the fries on my plate were fresh. The green beans I had gotten were from a can and cold. And the steak that I ordered medium rare was extremely well done in parts and completely raw in parts. All in all we couldn't eat like.. 70 percent of our two meals and couldn't eat our appetizer at all. We complained to the woman at the front and all we got were excuses. We paid over 30 dollars for like 10 bites of poorly made food. Which was so disappointing as we have had a pleasant experience there before. Generally when service and food are that terrible you get a discount or even an apology. We just got excuses. Needless to say we will not...

The food was lousy and server brought us the check without asking if we wanted desert. When we mentioned this at the counter they said the manager had just left. After asking for whoever was in charge the refunded the did and chips meal. We felt it was our worst experience in 20 years.

I ordered shrimp dinner. Vegetable of the day was corn, obviously from a can, had no taste and was not crisp. They did not bring cocktail sauce.

Wife ordered fish and chips. They did not have malt vinegar for it. Fish was over cooked and fries were soggy like they had been under a heat lamp to long.

Waiter then brought check without asking if we wanted desert. We did. After we failed to get his attention we gave up and went to pay.

We mentioned to the cashier the bad food and service. She said “sorry about that”. But did not get manager or ask if there was anything they could do. We asked for manager and was told that the manager had just left. It was obvious that it was poorly managed but never thought it was not managed at all. This place has gone downhill since we last visited. Used to be a favorite of ours for past 15 years coming here on annual winter vacations. Food was overly greasy. Eggs hard to cut through (they resembled cheese that had been cooked in a microwave and left sitting) and bacon was very fatty and undercooked. Hash browns appeared to be sitting for awhile as they were not crispy - appearance of entire plate was I was being served food not eaten from someone else’s plate. Waitress didn’t ask how everything was and it was clear I ate toast off plate only. Also felt as though we were sitting in someone else’s living room as a waitress who was working kept sitting down at the table next to ours between going to her other guests to talk to her child and significant other. The child was old enough to communicate in sentences but opted to yell and screech and waitress didn’t seem to care as she was also loud. Complained at register about food and received “sorry.” Love paying $10 for toast given the rest of the food was inedible. Won’t be...
