Malt Shoppe — Restaurant in Pagosa Springs

I usually give 5 Stars... But this time around there was an issue with an employee there and my partner.. I was not there when it happened (walking dog B4 I went in) but an employee there seemed very annoyed and when asked about my burger she replied to manager "they never ordered " Long short my partner replied "Yes we did"

Anyway we where over charged and out of the 23 times I visited I've NEVER ENCOUNTERED an issue like that..again I was not there when all this happened but my partner is a very calm person and hardly never in the 25yrs have I ever known my partner to be rude or FORGET TO ORDER MY MEAL!

So to that young lady hope you are over it! DELICIOUS as they make their burgers .... I did not enjoy and if I see this young person again ,I will sadly not bring my visitors as I always do here any longer .. I felt the eyes ( was crowded) on me once I walked to table with my partner and niece..

Was told what happened and was overcharged!

But at that point I know what to do...and maybe just pass it by....I'm sure I won't be missed...

Worst Malt Ever with Rude Service to Boot! We live in Pagosa Springs for about 6 months of every year and have been to the malt shop occasionally - mostly because of its convenient location and visitors always like a little ice cream. The service has always been slow and rude, but we kind of shake it off for an easy stop for overpriced ice cream. This week, we ordered 3 large chocolate malts to go, drank them as we drove off or else we would have gotten our money back. The "ice cream" was barely frozen and there was about an inch of malt glued to the bottom of the cup along with chunks throughout. None of us drank them! And of course they were served by the normal rude employees who act like they'd rather be anywhere else but there. They make you pay with the "tip" before you receive your food, so beware! BTW-the business is for sale so you'd think they would try a little harder to create some...

As someone who grew up going here I’m disappointed. There were two girls taking our orders at the front who were very visibly high as a kite. They couldn’t stop laughing, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, we had to tell them our orders a few times, then we tipped $2 on an $8 order (20% but for a quick carry out order) and the girls very loudly laughed about our tip as we walked away. The malt just wasn’t as good as I remember either and I tossed it after a few sips but that could’ve been the experience I had at the front messing with it lol. There was a sweet hardworking-seeming redhead who handed our order to us and she seemed to be doing a great job, but my goodness. Put better people at the front who don’t get high before coming to work. As a side note the inside is closed which is new from the last time I came here but my review has nothing to do with that,...
