China Wok — Restaurant in Palatka

I live in East Palatka and this is the only place that will deliver to my house Chinese wise and only one of 2 place that deliver to my house at all. The first few times we ordered from here everything was fine. Then after about a yr( we don’t order from there a lot) the price for 4 meals went up $15 so I asked why they told me delivery fee. Which for that money I could drive and pick it up for less money. Over the last yr we have ordered from there 3 times and every time there has been a problem. My husband likes the sweet and sour chicken, first problem was there was no sauce that comes with it and the chicken was burnt. Called them and explained and all they would do is give us extra sauce next time. Wouldn’t refund us our money though it was their fault. Next time, I didn’t want to order from there but the husband didn’t want pizza and again the only other place that will deliver and it was late. Well we told them about our last experience. They told us 45 mins took and hr and 15 mins and the chicken was burnt again and no extra sauce as promised from last time. So I decided after months we would try again. Cause everyone has bad days. I ordered 3 meals 2 being the same cause we weren’t chancing the sweet and sour, and was told 45 mins. I called back at an hr and 20 mins and they couldn’t tell me when the delivery person would be arriving. When he gets here I’m missing a meal completely and I call back and ask why I only had 2 meals delivered cause I thought I had ordered 3 and all she would say is we will sent it out. I asked for a refund instead and they refused and said they would send the meal out. So I pointed out that it took an hrs and half for the first ones and this was the 3rd time I had issues with them and she doesn’t respond to me. I say hello thinking we were disconnected and she says hello back. The point here with the conversation is that they don’t apologize they never make up for their mistakes and they refuse to refund money even when they don’t send out the things that are purchased. Mind you I have a paraplegic mother in law I take care of so usually when ordering out it’s to take stress out of the day and it seems to usually cause more than it’s worth. Workers seemed very friendly, and the food was good and fair priced. Actually low priced considering inflation. They did have a wall to wall plastic barrier up to seperate the kitchen and register area from the dining area. Not a bad idea although it won't go over well with local neocons who apparently love the idea of spreading and ingesting viruses, and if they aren't busy calling the police on homeless people hoping the police shoot them dead for breaking into their own vehicles, as they wait homeless in a parking lot for their next work shift to begin, because prevaling wages do not meet rental requirements, or at very least stepping on their heads and occasionally necks, while they are in cuffs, for the fun of it. Or breaking water spigots in local parks in hopes they die of dehydration and having a Republican government blame it on transients and go through cutting most off as well to "prevent vanadalism". I found these people pleasant compared to Palatka itself. A good break from a harsh reality. A much better option for lunch than most Wall Street publicly traded box chains Palatka has to offer for at most a couple dollars more from even the cheapest deals at fast food places with more consistent quality than you get at fast food places. At this point I'd give zero stars I used to love this place I've ordered here many times the food is always great but the customer service is aweful I am a very patient person and polite so when they forget something in my delivery order I call being extremely understanding but every single time they have forgotten something they claim I never ordered it yet it's always charged correctly for what I ordered but missing items is always argued that I never ordered that...so 55$ I spent on half of what I ordered and to get the rest of my order they expect me to put in a new order and pay for what I already paid for!!!
