La chaparras — Restaurant in Palestine

The food is great, as usual. But PLEASE get the drive through line to move quicker. 28 minutes in line is too much. I had to get out of line and leave this morning. The 28 minute wait time was a few days ago, not today. I didn’t time it today. It was taking quite some time today, so I had to leave, as did a couple of cars behind me. But again, the food is really good, but you might wanna go...

We tried this for breakfast, with high hopes. However, expectations dashed-the food was barely mediocre. The service was terrific, but again, it seems that most Mexican food in Palestine is boring, bland and for the most part, uninspired gorp. The exception is El Toro, which is, unfortunately, not open for breakfast. We probably will not go back, even for breakfast; so off to...

Great visit - cutely decorated, friendly attentive waitstaff, fluffy homemade tortillas, from scratch (not frozen) breakfast potatoes, awesome salsa (they should sell that stuff in a bottle, especially the spicy one- so good), and the pancakes are tall and fluffy, too. We were just passing through, but I’d go back on another one of our trips....
