Bella Sara Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Palestine

Me and my friend decided to try this place out today. We both got the garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer, we shared the pepperoni pizza, and I got the Pasta Trio. The garlic bread was pretty good. The garlic wasn’t overbearing and the cheese was great quality. The cheese pull was wicked. The pizza on the other hand was way too greasy. The pizza had a little flop to it and the undercarriage wasn’t to my preference, but that is me just being picky. The pizza actually tasted good. The Pasta Trio was good too. The lady who served us was very nice and made sure me and my friend were taken care of. I think their soda machine is broken, so we were served soda bottles with a cup of ice and we were charged for each bottle we got. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient. Don’t knock this place until you try it. They have some improvements to make, but I think this place has potential to be a competitor to the other Italian...

I'm just not impressed. We had a large to go order that was missing a few items. That happens. The food descriptions are a little vague, so I suppose I was expecting grilled chicken and not tough chicken boiled in lemon juice? I had the Chicken Carciofi. The pasta part was OK, just no flavor other than lemon. But I can't get past the chicken. And then we have the cheese garlic bread made on a sub roll, I'm guessing? No garlic flavor. At all. Just cheese, olive oil??? (it tastes like pan and grill oil), and cheese. The marinara looks and tastes like canned tomato sauce. The marsala was watery and had no wine flavor at all. $160+ for 6 people and I'm having a sandwich for supper.

SO SAD THAT THEY HAVE CLOSED! Please try this restaurant for dine in or take out. They have a wide selection of foods; e.g., Italian, Mexican, and American. We've been getting food from there for over a month. Tried many dishes. We've had their pizza, lasagna, manicotti, cannelloni, cheese ravioli, steak, fish tacos, etc. All were delicious. You need to give them a try. They are a mom and pop restaurant and need your business. I cannot say enough positive compliments or this review would...
