Ok I can not figure out how people are giving this place a good rating. I want to give negative stars. The experience starts when walk into a poorly light room that reeks of mold and mildew! Should have been the 1st clue to turn around and walk out!! Next you go into the waiting/ restaurant area and can still barely see. The waitress was nice but got alot wrong. I understand it's not always the waiter/res fault. My husband and I ordered sour cream enchiladas. Mine were chicken and his was beef. No where on the menu did it say anything about olives (which I can't have) the enchiladas had no flavor and turned to mush immediately as you would expect with the mound of cheese and sauce on top. The refried beans were store bought canned beans. My husband's charro beans were watered down pinto beans with tons of oil. The rice was hard and molded together. My poor girls couldn't even eat their food. My youngest had the children's enchiladas that was over cooked and turned to mush. That part she liked! My middle daughter had the taco. We asked beef, cheese and lettuce only, yet it was drowning in hot sauce!!! A kids plate!!! Her sides had the same issue as ours. My oldest had steak fingers. She ate her food but said it was hard to chew and had no taste.. the best part was the chips and the salsa. If you want tex mex skip this place. All the good reviews are BOLD- FACED LIES! Update!!!!! We all...
Read morePlace was nice and big, with plenty of large tables and booths not all crowded together, with plenty of more intimate seating. Decorations authentic and tasteful, and not overdone . 1 full extra star for not having a television in the place that I could see. Waitress was great. Friendly and personable. Attentive, but not hovering or pushy. Showed great energy, hustle, and good timing. Wish I had got her name so I could give her credit. The chips were good, but only one, fairly bland, medium heat salsa avialable. Could have come out of a jar. Guacamole was good, did what it should. Enhanced everything without overpowering it. My wife loved the waitress, (another +), and enjoyed her chicken enchiladas baked in sour cream. 13 year old son enjoyed beef enchiladas smothered in queso. No brainer, but well done. 8 year old daughter enjoyed her chicken strips and French fries. Whatever. My taco was tasty, but there was enough meat cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes to fill up 3 shells. Seemed a waste. Tamale smothered in chili, and beef enchiladas smothered in whatever, were...ok. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing there to make me want to push on and finish them. Rice ok. Refried beans exceptional. Will definately go back to try it out...
Read moreI have only eaten here once, so I cannot attest to the quality of all their menu or anything more than the single order my mother and I ate jointly. We had the DINNER FOR 2 BEEF FAJITAS which I was told by the waitress was a 10 ounce order of meat. At first I was a little disappointed at $33.99 (as I recall that was the price before taxes) but having driven from Houston we weren't being too fussy so we gave it a try.
Amazingly 👏 this meal was more than enough for 2 because to each of us was given a full plate of all the trimmings and 5 tortillas per person. Clearly consideration was given when planning this meal. We left feeling full happy and had to take a to go box because we couldn't finish our fajitas. Although the waitresses weren't too chatty (which personally I like to get to know my waiter) they were very polite and never failed to enquire about our needs I hope to come here in a post covid crisis so the wait staff can have time to properly greet their customers but all things considered it wasn't their fault they were pressed for time and as far as I could see they were...
