시루와 떡 — Restaurant in Palisades Park

Been going here for a little less than 2 years, at least once a month. All of past visits were very brief and pleasant enough, I just picked up a few packs and paid, nothing more. Nonetheless, if you can avoid, don't call them. They will completely ruin your day and whatever mood you were in with their customer service. It was the most uncomfortable, condescending, nastiest call I have ever had with another human being. I would rather talk to someone completely indifferent than someone with this type of attitude. Maybe it was her bad day, who knows but why should I care? as a customer? Reading another review below makes me realize that this is not a one-time incident. I have always enjoy their rice cakes for years. They are always not too sweet (magic words), perfectly chewy, and traditional. I always enjoy their selections though sometimes if you go too late, their popular ones or my favorites are sold out. Nevertheless, this shop knows what they are doing. I never expected to find such a authentic Korean rice cake place. I tried the fermented rice cake, the pumpkin rice cake, and the red bean rice cake. All of them are just wonderful, the same as or even better than what I had in Korea. And they are very nice people! I will definitely revisit and try all different kinds of rice...
