I’ve been coming to this location for 2 years and until recently, I never had a bad experience. But since Michelle the shift leader started, I’ve noticed a significant change in how the team works. When she’s not present, the team is a well oiled machine. Whenever she’s present, on multiple occasions, I’ll place a mobile order and wait 30 mins to end up not even getting my order. There’s only so many $5 gift cards they can give away to make up for bad service.
Today, I walked in maybe 10 mins after placing my order and my coffee was ready. I stood and waited while 2 baristas were making drinks and the manager was standing in front of the sandwich heater not doing anything. I finally told one of the baristas that I was waiting for a mobile order for myself and he turned his head and told them my name. The manager then stepped away from the sandwich warmer and started making drinks too. Then 3-4 people filed out from the back room, pressed a button on the order printer and the amount of order receipts that came out was alarming. I should have known then that today would be yet another day that I wouldn’t get my breakfast sandwich order. I waited another 15 mins, already extremely late for work before going up to the front counter letting them know I placed my order 30+ minutes ago and am late for work. They told me they would take my name down and give me a discount next time I came in. If this was the first time I’d be annoyed but I’d understand. I’ve worked in food, I get things happen. My family and I have been to this Starbucks location a handful of times and each time the customer service is awful, but usually from just one particular person. It’s a very uncomfortable experience each time when “Rebecca” never greets us with a smile or says anything at all and just glares even when we try to be friendly and smile! It puts a very poor image on the company... It is very unprofessional and rude and that’s why I won’t be coming back. There are always different employees working and I have encountered some very sweet people that have been helpful and kind that I appreciated so much, however it’s not worth having to deal with someone as rude and miserable as Rebecca! This is clearly not the right industry to be in if you can’t be friendly! It truly makes it hard to even want to sit and enjoy my drink in there.
