Found this place on one of my business meetings, it was just after 1:30pm and I stopped in. I ordered the Gyro (chicken) and was surprised as I thought it was quite tasty. The young girl behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful as it was my first time there. I grabbed a menu to take home with me thinking I would bring my husband back with me for dinner one evening. Last week we decided to head over there after school function for the kids, it was just a few minutes past 8pm on a Wednesday, when we walked in the serving dishes that held the side dishes had been removed and also the meat on the spites were off. My husband and I were surprised because it said they were open for another 50 minutes or so. We were told that the side dishes were available but they only had rice or salad. We both got rice and ordered what i thought was the chicken Gyros. The order came out quickly and it looked different then the last time i had eaten there. So i questioned the guy behind the counter who took our order and he was quite unhappy that I was asking about the food. We figured we would try it anyways. It was AWFUL.... the chicken was not shaved thin like it should be for a gyro and it was dry and had no seasonings. There was no sauce or flavor to the pita and the rice was hard and dry like it had been sitting out for a while. On another note, while we were there my husband who has been in the restaurant business for many years in Los Angeles noticed that the floors were filthy. There was food squished into the floor and the tiles themselves looked as though they hadn't been mopped in ages. They got their last monies from my family and I will not recommend to my friends that you eat there. We have so many choices in our area that spending money on food where the service, taste and cleanliness is less then par, its just...
Read moreA Greek salad I didn't order, no big deal. The double chicken gyro melt that was more like chicken jerky and the cheese was almost crunchy! We've been steady going here for the last 6 months and all was good, until....... I went in today to show them the pictures of the meal that we received on Friday. The girl behind the register told me I did not get it from mr. Gyros. I told her I could not eat a double chicken gyro by hand so I always lay it out on a plate and cut it up then eat it. As you can see in the pictures the cheese is not melted there is dry chicken jerky stuck to the back of the cheese. My wife's lamb gyro was good according to her but mine was disgusting and the young lady behind the register on Monday December 3rd did not want to hear anything about it! So being a Palm Beach Gardens native and businessman I would have somehow accommodated the customer instead of just saying there's nothing I can do for you repetitively! Good way to lose some more customers. I did notice there were no meat on the rotisseries at all, as if they were closing down and were waiting for me to pick up my takeout order. I am a little disappointed because when the food was good it was just that, but the lack of respect was insulting! I tried to show the girl the pictures that I posted and explain without letting other customers hear what we were talking about, she didn't care she just wanted to shut me up and get me out the door! So that will be the last time I spend my money there and hopefully somebody else reads this and doesn't waste their money there either! Good-day I do have to give credit to the polite young lady at the register on Fridays when we used to order. She at least knew my name and didn't treat me like some alien like the girl Monday...
Read moreI have been eating at this location since its inception and up until this point, I have been nothing but satisfied. I stopped by this Saturday night and expected more of the same, obviously my family and I were severely dissapointed. First of all I was made to feel like I was bothering the cashier as he took my order and I watched as my food was prepared in a careless manner then finally, sitting on the food prep counter for a full four minutes before I walked up and clearly disturbed the cashier from watching television to bag the order so I could leave. All in all about 16 Min. for two Gyros and a kids meal. When we got the food home and opened the boxes... the lettuce was old and the meat was more like little fatty lamb nuggets rather than the traditional long, thin slices as we've grown accustom to enjoying. The kids chicken was dry and flavorless and the rice was far overdone. I had heard others speak of the increasingly low quality product emerging from this location but up until now I have refused to believe it. I believe that the owner has given too much control to his employees and should perform a serious re-examination of the quality control of his product that directly reflects his commitment to his customers. To Mr. John Kaplanidis, I will not return to your restaurant any time soon. There are plenty of other fine Greek establishments in the area for me to waste anymore of my time and money on this one. It is a...
