We came to this very quaint restaurant because of its unique nature, great reviews and superb home cooking. JP’S Italian deli is known for its great Italian sandwiches by day along with an Italian deli next door offering authentic food from my beloved Brooklyn and NJ. However they are quickly developing a reputation for an excellent homemade dinner experience. Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays they stay opened until 7 and offer a 5 course tasting menu that changes every week. All of the food is prepared from scratch by Anthony,chef/owner along with his wife. It’s like Sunday dinner at grandmas. Make reservations. Our only issue was an uncooperative air conditioner but they did their best to keep us cool. Can’t wait to go back. Steve….Owner and chef Anthony has given me so much grief over his four stars rating all because of a malfunctioning air conditioner…..UPDATE: I came in yesterday to say hi and pickup a week’s worth of food as my family is away and I’m not cooking…lol. I will review each item as I work my way through the menu…good times indeed. There’s an iconic place in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn, opened since 1938 and still going strong…Brennan and Carr( Ave U and Nostrand Ave).People come from every borough, Westchester, New Jersey and Long Island to experience the best roast beef sandwich ever created. Anthony has recreated “Brooklyn’s Best” right here in Palm Coast. The same cut of meat, same spices, same taste and the coup de grace….the broth( it’s what separates this roast beef from everyone else)….kudos Anthony…5Stars !!….the 2nd dinner was their homemade lasagna which I found nicely layered. It was flavorful with just the right herbs and the sauce was perfect. Finally I had their frozen cheese ravioli from their market freezer. It comes from a famous Italian shop in Bensonhurst Brooklyn called Pastosa. They have grown to 12 locations in NYC and everything is made from scratch. I added my own homemade red sauce and fresh mozzarella, it...
Read moreFantastic meal! It was the first time I've been at JP's Italian American Bistro and it won't be the last! The Owners were very kind friendly people from Brooklyn. The waitress was very helpful. The Meatball Parmigiana sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. My mother had the Brooklyn Roast Beef sandwich served wet witha side of spicy Italian beef gravy and she said it was very spicy and very good. I don't normally eat much salad but today I did and that Antipasto salad was crisp and delicious. There was a couple getting ready to leave and they said it was the second time this week eating here and I can see why. I already know what I will order next time I go here. They are also going to open a Deli soon and I'm looking forward to it. I don't normally do reviews but JP's definitely...
