Sub Base & Bagel Place — Restaurant in Palm Coast

Been going here for years. Today there was no familiar faces working. Man in back cooking and 3 young lady's. The place was not full, there was plenty of empty tables. None of the staff greeting our party of 4, there was at least 2 tables empty that needed to be bussed and wiped down. We sat and waited almost 10 minutes before anyone came by. The young lady made no eye contact and seemed uninterested in waiting on any table. While we gave drink order, she started to walk away and had to ask her to come back and finish what was just our drink order. She Took longer then expected for her to come back and have to ask several times for either silverware to stir coffee and creamer which came at separate times, again after asking more then once. She then left not to be seen for another easy 15 minutes. We decided to leave, I walked to counter and had to ask someone to pay. I had to tell them what drinks we had, and was charged over 12 dollars for 1 coffee, 1 hot tea and 2 ice teas and yes I understand the service industry. This was just poor service and poor staffing.I've been coming here for years and never had service...

This is a review update. I use to love this place but haven’t been in a couple years. Stopped by this morning to grab some breakfast for the family. I was the first one in and ordered 2 bagels with egg and cheese, 1 plain bagel with cream cheese, another bagel plain and 2 orders of home fries. This order took almost 20 minutes!

I should have checked the order before heading home because when I got there I was missing the plain bagel with cream cheese, the coffee was watered down and my family took a couple bites of their bagels and home fries before throwing them out. They said it was “nasty”. A couple hours later my wife started complaining of stomach pain.

Not sure what happened but this place has really gone downhill and I will not be returning. I gave it 2 stars because it use to be good and hope it will again, but if I’m rating it just on todays experience I’d give it 1 star or less

Not a lot of options in palm coast for bagels. Even though I hate Dunkin I would have been better off. If you want good bagels I guess I am going to have to drive to Ormond for...

we were very excited to eat at the sub base, but was instantly shocked by how rude the short gray haired lady was. she came up to us and says "drinking anything" without first saying hi how are you, a smile or with any kind of common decency you'd expect from someone working in customer service. we were very polite and smiled, while telling her what we wanted. she stormed off came back and slammed our sodas on the table and walked away. we sat and waited for her to take our order she proceeded to ignore us and go to the regular who came in after us and took her entire order before ours. some other customers had came in and she didn't say hi to them either. sorry, but I'm not paying for someone to give me a bad attitude and to stink up the whole place with their negative energy. her attitude was so disgusting that we had to leave. i grew up in new york and they arent all disrespectful like this. if you're so miserable don't work in customer service. rename this place the sub PAR bagel place. undeserving...
