El Paso Taco Restaurant — Restaurant in Palm Springs

This customer service was so nasty from the start this does not even deserve one full star, during heavy rain while in middle of tornado watch outside me and my family were playing game of pool just right next door of restaurant at Grover’s pool hall, during heavy rain occurring all day outside during that same day and time, I noticed I had lost/dropped my phone in rain in puddle of water we rushed outside once finally found my phone we rushed out of heavy rain for cover once my phone finally retrieved we were debating on getting a good meal for right afterwards our game of pool so we walked into the restaurant right in front of us soaked from rain asking for menu, from the start when we walked in restaurant there was no customers in restaurant there was only emptiness and pure silence, there was an old Hispanic lady with glasses( manager/owner of the buisness )sitting on her phone out by the bar quietly she did not even acknowledge nor greet us I strongly agree of the reason is of us not being Hispanic , and young lady behind desk, we asked her for menu once received during reviewing over menu on what dinner we were going to eat my cousin asked to use the bathroom for paper towels to dry off considering fact we were soaked from rain, on instant spot he was denied use of bathroom, women on her phone who is owner says “no bathroom use, bathroom only for paying customers” as if we were homeless and not ready to spend over $100 for our bill, I should have not have to explain my story of myself about dropping my phone in puddle rushing to get out of heavy rain to be denied to be able to dry off nor to find out what me and my family were going to eat afterwards, instantly from the her treatment I told my family we can eat and take our money else where, this is most likely why the restaurant was so empty with no customers, on way out I instantly ripped there menu and threw in garbage, I refused to spend my money if me and my family are going to be treated this poorly...

Stopped by here with my family. The complementary chips and salsa were home made and amazing. I ordered desebrada (shredded beef) tacos and it was an explosion in my mouth, lots of meat and full of flavor. My daughter ordered the K2 off of the kids menu (enchilada with rice and beans) she ordered it with beef and the beef was so yummy! My wife ordered the Mix Fajitas which had lots of meat and seasoned perfectly, also served with rice and beans and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. We finished our dinner with the home made sopapillas (yum). They make these home made juices, Horchata (the best I ever had, like not powdered actually home made) Tamarindo, Cantaloupe and Pineapple Juice. THIS place rocks. Great Service. My wife never even asked for a re-fill and the waitress just picked up her drink and filled it up. I LOVE that kind of service. By the way super clean, always picking up after all of the dirty tables and floors from prior customers! Five stars for me! These other reviews are FRAUD and they have no idea about good food or good service! Prices are subject to change based on produce and meat purchases I know because I used to run a restaurant. I'm sure they were told but they don't want to pay cheapos!...

This is my little sisters all time favorite place she probably comes here 3 times a week. Until the other day we were there eating and. Homeless gentleman came in to order some food. He had money in his hand and the servers just ignored him. Until they didn’t and when they did acknowledge him it was to be very rude and kick him out of the building they said he smelled. But he was standing right next to our table and we didn’t smell anything. Before he was able to get to the door a group of men stopped him and had them sit at there table gave him a drink and ordered him some food. He wasn’t able to eat inside even with most of the restaurant protesting they kicked him out to eat outside.. we were able to find him when he left give him money to eat later in the day and bought him some new shoes and jacket.. That’s what God needs from us not the ugliness that was shown in this restaurant that day. I’m am so disgusted by this restaurant and the way the servers treated that man you should all be ashamed. We will no longer spend our money there and we have been eating there for years. What a horrible way to treat...
