Saturday Feb 1st. About 6:45 pm I am a regular customer to this subway. Restaurant is clean and staff is nice. Mostly. My experience tonight was bitter and unnecessary. There was a couple who walked in before me, and ordered a handful of sandwiches. The woman who made them, was very upset. Slamming the bread warmer shut, being rough with the food, and being very impatient with the customer. The woman working had already put away many ingredients so when the couple asked for condiments, she scolded them" any other sauces? I'm only going back there once" After smashing their order together, she greets me with the same attitude. During which I ask if I've caught her at closing time? She glares at me and suggests she's closing early. During checkout I'm asked if i would like a receipt, I respond yes please. Receipt prints and she balls it up in frustration. During the visit, the service and speed was surprising, in a good way. I ordered a foot long sub and the preparation by Africa was perfect. He wasn't even close. He got it spot on. He spread my choices evenly throughout the sub to ensure a consistent taste while eating in its entirety. Add to that when I grabbed the chips he checked the bag, discovered a hole, and told me to get another because they might be stale. It's the subtle things that separate a four and a five star for me. I have yet to see exceptional service in any fast food industry. Nicole most definitely sets the standards on how any business in general should run. Very personable, she called me to double check my order since I normally get it toasted and did not see et the option on the app. That little detail tells me a lot about someone who pays attention to details with understanding how many people a day walk in and order.
