Growing pains are real! Went there for the first time Sunday morning at 9am and wow what a Crowd! So excited for the restaurant and their success however with that came slower service and unhappy patrons. The food was good (Sammy sandwich and a side of potatoes and an egg). The coffee was also good (hot mocha and iced raspberry white mocha). The prices were a bit high (4$ for a side of potatoes, literally 8 pieces of fried potato chunks) and 2.50$ for one egg. However not unexpected at a mom and pop restaurant. When we got there, there was only one young lady doing the drinks, orders, bussing, and delivering the food. Can you say overwhelmed? I wish I could have helped! Soon help arrived and he was able to pick up orders and deliver breakfast. The line was long and the people were hungry, all great signs of an up and coming restaurant! I love the mission, the employees were kind, I wish the customers were more understanding. I will be back as I am excited to try the portobello sandwich!! Keep up the great work and...
Read moreWent in today for the first time since opening under new ownership and the new name. The owner and staff were so kind and friendly despite being incredibly busy today. We really enjoyed our experience. I was cautious to go in since I had loved the Speed Trap dearly for so many years, but my fears were quashed immediately upon interacting with staff. We ordered coffees in and it food to go since we live in town and wanted to get back to our Saturday. Our food was excellent. I cannot recommend the breakfast tacos enough they were cooked absolutely perfectly. The interior has lovingly been updated and renovated while still maintaining the essence of the building and the town familiarity. We look forward to coming in more in the future to support the new owners in their endeavors in our...
Read moreA wonderful improvement to our local Palmer Lake community bringing a great breakfast and lunch menu. Very reasonable priced, despite earlier comments in these reviews ($10-15 with a meal and drink). Food is outstanding. Weâve been coming every weekend since it opened and have now ordered most of the menu items. We have yet to be disappointed. It is such a warm and inviting atmosphere with great service. They are getting busier during peak hours, so if you plan to dine in, coming a bit earlier or later may be optimal. As they serve all menu items all day until they close at 3pm, youâll never be disappointed. We sure havenât! Heartiest thanks to Raquel and her team for such a strong start and their superb early success. We are so happy you have invested in Palmer...
