A Sweet Gem in Palmer Lake: The Rock House Experience

The age-old saying, ā€œI scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream,ā€ finds its perfect embodiment at The Rock House in Palmer Lake, Colorado. As I drove by this charming store, my attention was immediately captured by a whimsical Santa waving hello amidst vibrant, colorful letters that proudly spelled out ā€œRock House.ā€ Intrigued by the store’s unique and lively facade in such a quaint town, I knew I had to explore further.

Upon entering, I was greeted by an array of delectable ice creams and chocolate treats that promised a delightful experience. The selection was impressive, boasting an extensive range of flavors that catered to every palate. Feeling adventurous, I opted for the classic mint chocolate chip ice cream and couldn’t resist indulging in a mix of their irresistible truffle bites—each one a burst of rich chocolatey goodness in a petite package.

What truly set The Rock House apart was the exceptional staff. Their warmth and enthusiasm made the visit even more enjoyable, as they were more than willing to help me navigate their diverse flavor offerings. It felt like interacting with passionate connoisseurs who genuinely wanted me to find my perfect treat.

Beyond the scrumptious desserts, The Rock House also features a selection of fun gifts tucked away in the back. These unique items make perfect souvenirs or thoughtful presents to share the joy with friends and family.

Overall, my adventure to The Rock House was a five-star experience. The delicious treats did not disappoint, and the friendly atmosphere made the visit memorable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Palmer Lake, I highly recommend stopping by The Rock House for a sweet escape that’s anything...

This is a perfect little place for lunch, ice cream or fudge. They recently remodeled and the layout is a lot better. There is outdoor seating with umbrellas for a hot day. We had a chicken salad sandwich which got a double thumbs up from my guest, and I had the Club which was also very good. Lots of fresh ingredients. Value is very good at around $25 for the two of us, with drinks. I would suggest going with real Swiss cheese rather than pastuerized slices which ruined a ham and Swiss at a later date. I also think you should have more than wheat and croissants for bread choices.

02/25 Update - we tried the sweets here recently and they were outstanding! The truffles are little works of art, and so artistically done, it's a shame to eat them! We tried several options and were not disappointed. Also a bit cheaper than the Chocolate Factory. Rock House continues to be a major attraction in...

Rock House Candy and Ice Cream is an absolute gem! This family-owned shop is not only adorable inside and out, but it’s also bursting with personality and charm. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by fun and unique lighting out front that makes it feel festive and welcoming.

I picked up a bunch of different chocolates such as peanut butter cups, dark chocolate sea salt toffee, and dark chocolate truffles all of which are beautifully made.

Inside, the variety is incredible — there’s truly something for everyone. From homemade chocolates and hand-crafted candies to creative treats like ice cream nachos, it’s clear the owners pour love and care into every item. The quality is top-tier, and you can tell they genuinely care about the products they offer and the community they serve.

It would be insane to give them anything less than 5 stars, EVERYONE loves Rock House ice cream! šŸ˜ Their kids cones are ADORABLE tiny cones, and their "half scoops" are HUGE!! They literally have a scale to make sure they give you the most bang for your buck! The owners are awesome and it's 100% a staple in this town! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼šŸŽ‰šŸ¦I always get the bowl of chili and Fritos, my kids gets the kid combo called "Recess #3" corn dog or hot dog, my kids get the corn dogs normally, comes with chips and a drink for like $3 or something and then they have a ton of cone options, including gluten free. I think their only dairy free option is sherbet. But the town gossip is that he's looking into more dairy free flavors that are ACTUALLY ice cream. šŸ¤žšŸ¼šŸØ
