Wen Ming House — Restaurant in Palmer

Ordered delivery to Belchertown from here for my boyfriend and I once a week over the past 3 weeks. Food was pretty good and they are one of the only Chinese places with delivery in the area. Today I called for a delivery order and all of a sudden the manager decided that to deliver to my house in Belchertown which is 2.3 miles outside their 5 mile delivery radius I am now required to buy $50 worth of food. I explain that I’ve ordered from there three times recently and only got about $20 worth of food each time why, ALL OF A SUDDEN, do I need to get $30 more dollars worth of food just for them to deliver? They had no answer to this, it was basically “because we feel like it.” Reluctantly, I ordered $50 worth of stuff (At first I added 2 things that brought the total up to $47 and they STILL said I needed to hit $50!) because we figured we could save the extra to have tomorrow and the next day. when it arrived I didn’t come to the door within 10 seconds and the guy just left it there. Ordered pick up today, if it's a first time there for me I always order some type of fried rice and chicken fingers as a barometer. Chicken fried rice with pineapple and cashews sounded good and an order of chicken fingers. The rice was 2 ☆ at best, besides the description it had raisins and a lot of what I believe was basil. It was almost more like Thai than Chinese, the basil taste/smell overpowered every thing else and as Curley said, "I think the chicken walked through this on stilts!". The chicken fingers were tough and tasted like it was partially fried then finished when ordered. Overall I've got to say it was pretty bad and my expectations for a first time Chinese to go are pretty low. I would definitely recommend China House if you're in Palmer, I've been there several times and have never been disappointed and after the first order of rice/fingers expanded the spectrum and was disappointed with nothing....

This is diamond in the rough! Great prices for very fresh sashimi, sushi, Japanese, minor Thai dishes & Chinese. I had sashimi app, beef negimaki app, happy family (scallops, shrimp, beef, chicken, roast pork, all sauteed with red & green peppers with little mushrooms in a Brown sauce) & a hot tea. I made it thru both apps but man I have a huge appetite & only made it thru 1/4 of my huge portion of happy family! This place does majority take out but u must eat in! I hear you get much more on huge plates rather than small togo boxes. All of that only came to $34!!! I have 2 more dinners as well from leftovers. LOL.
