It was my first time at this location. I didn't know that when you first walk in you don't need to wait for the hostess/waitress to be seated. You pick your own seat. It is relatively small but not crammed inside. Its decor is very classic diner look. Once you selected a seat, a waitress comes up and asks you if you are ready to order. Mind you no one gave you a menu when you came in. Well apparently they have the menus at the table tucked behind the salt and pepper shakers and other condiments. Mind you I have never been here before so I was kinda hoping for more guidance sort of speak. We didn't realize that the menu was at the table we just thought it was a banner of sorts for the place. It confused everyone at my table. We apologized to the waitress for us not knowing. She kinda seemed annoyed. We ordered our drinks and told her to give us some time to review the menu. We got our drinks right away. The waitress took alot longer to return to take our orders. Once she did come by it was quick. We got our orders right away. Then not enough done with the meal we got a check. We don't get free refills. Not even for coffee which was very disappointing considering the small cup we are provided. Overall it's not bad pricing. It's just not a favorable experience for my first time being at the location. The food was homey like which I did enjoy. It was just certain things that should be looked into in regards of making a great experience for new clientele...
Read more7/2024 . I was the only person in here because I came late in the evening around closing time. My server was super nice and didn't make me feel like I was ordering something too late if you know what I mean. I got a chicken cheesesteak and it was delicious. It was different than the normal chicken cheesesteaks that I've had as it was not't shredded. It was more in pieces or slices and I liked it.
Overall the restaurant on the one side looks like an old-time diner and when you walk through the doorway into the other dining area, that looks like an old family restaurant. While I was waiting I used the bathroom and it was extremely clean as was the rest of the place. In general I love going to palmerton because it's just seems like Old Town USA.
I will definitely stop back in here next time I'm in Palmerton around...
Read moreWell it's a nice place I guess the people that work there were very nice and cordial always had a smile and ready to help but I ordered a Cheesesteak and so did several other people we had a small party there of about 15 and The Cheesesteak was like little balls of ground up sand it was so dry the cheese was barely visible I asked for mine with peppers and onions add mushrooms but they don't put those things in it they would only do it with onions that were also ground up where you couldn't even recognize them in the sandwich it was around lunch time so someone had bacon and eggs and they said it was good so if you're not getting breakfast I would skip it when I said something about no peppers they brought me out some cold sliced pickled peppers and that's not what you put on the cheese steak....BTW I would not...
