China 1 — Restaurant in Palmetto

My food was hot, fresh, and ready in a reasonable time. For that, I gave 2 stars. It was also packaged well and I received pretty standard customer service from a 12yr old lol… so I wish I could give another half a star because she did a good job. My meal definitely didn’t deserve 3 whole stars though. My mei fun with beef was BLAND!!! I don’t even think they used MSG. The cabbage and carrots had great texture. It looked really good, but no egg and no flavor tbh. My rice was fluffy and perfect, so no complaints there. It came with my general Tso chicken which was probably my biggest let down. Typically, the his red sauce is tangy and spicy with notes of garlic and chili, but here it was simply too thick and too sweet. It reminded me of orange chicken even (which I’m typically not a fan of because it’s too sweet in my opinion), but nothing like what I’m used to or looking forward to. Finally, I got fried dumplings… which had a nice texture. I bit into one and it exploded in my mouth, which was exciting, but all I tasted was soy. I did at least see a green onion and cabbage in there, so that was nice, but no ginger flavor came through and instead of my usual sauce which I think includes vinegar, they just gave us more dark soy sauce (which we DEFINITELY didn’t need). So many negative details I wondered I just caught them on their worse day but from the other reviews it seems like the norm. My first negative experience was I ordered and when I went to pay it was 20% higher than the price on the menu. I said the price said this and the little girl squinted at the computer and said “price went up”. Since I really want to Chinese I decided to go ahead and pay the higher price. To make a long story short, they did not have ketchup for my chicken wings nor did they put napkins or a fork in my bag. When I asked for the items they gave me what amounted to one napkin. I ordered shrimp fried rice and they gave me plain rice. When I said to the cashier you gave me plain rice she said let me see and looked in my bag. Then she told the cook that I ordered shrimp or rice and the cook asked to have back the food and she looked at the shrimp less rice and then the other cashier looked at the shrimp less rice and looked baffled. I said you know what-I’ll take it just as it is and I left it wasn’t that good. It shouldn’t...

BEWARE! NEVER EVER EAT HERE. I ordered through Door Dash after a long day! I called the restaurant directly because they didn't have an option for " spicy" on my order! A young, child, answered the phone and didn't identify the restaurant I called. I asked her "is this China One"? She answered Yes. I proceeded to ask for a spicy oil cup, which most offer, and she put the phone down! Someone in the background screaming at this kid; I stayed on hold and a very rude, nasty, women said "spice isn't free"! I said fine, but can you please add to order? She hung up on me! Now it gets good! The entire meal was totally disgusting. I should have read all the other reviews. Needless to say, they will never gain business from me ever again! READ REVIEWS PEOPLE!
