Jaxx Sportsbar and Grill — Restaurant in Palmetto

Ok so..... I have been going to this establishment for over a year. Maybe even 2yrs.

Today i was shocked to see the Wednesday special has changed. The days of wings and fries for 8.99 is gone. To me they had it right and I have brought over 7 friends here during multiple visits. Those friends have told others as well gaining this place atleast 10-15 people spending thier money here.

Now it's over 12 dollars for just 10 wings with no sides. I understand the time we are in but what a let down.

When I seen my bill with a "to-go"charge added i wasn't exactly impressed. I no longer feel this place is the same.

When I opened my order, my wings were barely sauced, and there was water or something on the bottom. I couldn't figure out why it was so watery except that the vegetables were slung in there without being dried off. Only explanation I can come up with.

I am sharing my receipt on here and it doesn't show the 3 dollar tip I gave. I paid over 18 dollars for just 10 wings that are no longer the same.

Ugh!! I will miss this place as it was fun to drop in. P.s. I'm sure the owner will respond and rightfully so. So to the owner I have met you twice and you have a cool little hideaway/bar. But over 18 dollars for 10 wings...come...

I have wanted to try their meatloaf for a while. I ordered expecting a much smaller portion. I was very surprised that it was such a large portion which added to the value of the meal exceptionally. The food was amazing as always. I have to say if you don’t come for the meatloaf come for the burgers and fries I swear that have the best in town. The only negative I can draw from today and it still doesn’t take away from the great food experience was, the waitress wasn’t too attentive I had to wait on drink refills a while, but probably because she was busy as she ear the only waitress there so they can use more staff. Also the listed prices on the website and in restaurant menu were lower than my bill was so a “real” price ahead of time would be great.i paid much more that the advertised price for the meal and beers. Don’t say $3 beers on Monday for domestic if miller lite is 3.50 on Mondays. I didn’t complain because the food was worth it and $3.50 still isn’t bad. But don’t post a price then change more. Sunday Funday led us to this sports bar to kick off the NFL games. It's definately the right place to be if you like being able to watch multiple games at the same time with numerous tv's, have great wings and want the option to play pool, darts or slots during the down time. We did get to see a very brief bar fight...that resolved very quickly. There is tons of indoor seating and I didn't notice any outdoor seating. The bartenders and servers were all very nice and attentive.

The wings we had to try since they were recommended by many many people and they were everything claimed. Meaty and flavorful. Ordered the medium since I'm a little woosy and my husband ordered sides of the hot sauce and jax xxx sauce. I did try a tiny bit of both.....TINY......amount and the jax was hot but pleasantly good at same time if that makes sense. My husband put a normal dunking on his and he said yup its hot.....but not unbearable hot. We really liked the flavor.

We ordered basic bar drinks.....1 lemon drop each and diet and captain/vodka lemonade. For 6 drinks and an order of wings we paid $68........
