Having worked at Starbucks for 3.5 years and was a shift supervisor, I must say I never ever rate Starbucks on Google maps regardless of the fact I'm a local guide and rate a lot of locations. Starbucks is typically Starbucks, but the manager at this store is so down to Earth I have to leave a review. Usually your baristas come in two flavors, corporate kill me with fake happiness or soul drained overworked understaffed miserable. The latter is corporate's deal not the store. Remember 3.5 years as a supervisor. Anyway you can imagine how hectic a university Starbucks can be (student here at Stanford), and how annoying some of the customers are. This store is sweet because even though it is a mad house and super busy the manager (geez how could I forget her name) takes the time to hold a conversation and "connect" (starbucks lingo) with the customer. I feel like it's connections like that that make me want to continue returning to Starbucks rather than hit up a real coffee shop. I'm tired of the fake "How'ssss it goinggg?!?...would you like to add a pound of coffee, food, etc to your orderrr?", let people be authentic it encourages a real connection and makes customers want to return. Wow this somehow turned into my longest review on Google. Anyway someone give this lady a promotion! Genuinely nice down to Earth...
Read moreI was never a review writer but today June 22, 2019 was the worst employee services I have ever got. I was walking with my 2 and 6 year old daughters and it was 8:40 pm, we were about 25 feet away from the entrance to Starbucks and it was closing at 9. The kids were hungry and wanted a cheese danish. The employee saw us walking up to the store and locked the doors right in front of our faces. I knocked on the doors and the employee looked at us, then without a thought walked away. Another employee was wiping the tables, she as well saw us and told us politely, “I’m very sorry but we are closed.” We were confused because it was only 8:40 and we checked online and this Starbucks closes at 9. We walked around to the other entrance and before we got to it the same employee that ignored us locked the second door In front of us again, even thought there were about 5 other customers inside working on their laptops. Unfortunately the kids remained hungry and were sad on the way home. This was by far the worst Starbucks employee experience I’ve ever received. We always go to Starbucks and it’s our go to coffee shop, and this one experience was...
Read moreLines are normally pretty long, and employees aren't that fast. Went again today and I asked for an iced coffee with 2% milk. The lady taking my order didn't write it down. So I asked once more for milk, and she said, "we know." So I walked away. And then when I saw the barista preparing my drink, they filled the coffee to the top without milk...so I asked her to put 2% milk in it. She looked at my frustrated and instead of pouring some coffee out, just poured more milk into an already full drink, which caused it to overflow. Then she let out a loud, very audible and rude sigh. And rolled her eyes as if I was the one being difficult. She then gave me my drink which was now dripping and I had to wipe it down. Very rude customers. I am wondering if it's because most student employees went home for the summer, but not a great experience. You will have better luck at the Starbucks on...
