Was working out near closing. Woman from front desk told me that the gym was closed (it was 5 minutes till closing, people around me were still working out). I told her I just needed to finish the last reps and I'd rack it and be out before closing. She threatened to call the police on me. When I left the gym 3 minutes before closing, she looked me straight in the eye and said since I didn't break any rules (leaving on time) she would call the police on me because I had a "bad attitude" by not following her directions and that she assured me I would be banned from the gym forever.

Funny that I was the only black male in the gym, and she allowed the white patrons to continue to workout without telling them directly that the gym was closed. Funny that I was out and right behind me 20 other patrons came out after I left the building. Funny how I had a bad attitude because I told her I wanted to finish 5 reps within the allotted time the...

Great gym with amazing pool and rock climbing. Would give it 5 stars, however, the Mexican looking man in his early 30s? with a stubble beard who worked the 1pm front desk today is extremely rude and always seems to be on edge. He always has this mean look on his face, never smiles, has an attitude when you ask him something, and I heard him saying derogatory and profanities to describe his "ex" in what it seemed like a conversation with a fellow front desk staff who was a white male, about his past relationships.

Very sad someone with that kind of behavior works for such a well ordered facility...

The ACSR facility is great, but the parking not so good. If you are already on campus and you want a facility that is less crowded than AOERC, go on over to ACSR. Less folks are on their phones during work outs, so that instead of hogging the equipment while texting they are actually using the machines. Apart from the parking limitations, the big drawback of ACSR is the lack of showers. You have to go across to the Ford Center to wash off the sweat. Why did they build a gym without showers or a...
