decided to do a review of Family Restaurant because of the stark differnce in the experience i've had in two seperate visits. The first visit I ordered the fettacinni alfredo pasta with chicken as a main dish and the Cheese Curds as an appetizer and it was absolutly amazing. Alfredo pasta is my absolute favorite pasta dish and as someone who makes it for myself on the regular I do not say this lightly, the sauce was rich and creamy with nice tender noodles but still had some texture and "chew" to them and the garlic bread was an amazing combo with it. The Cheese curds were also great excelent breading and it wasnt oily from the fryers. If i was rating my first experience I would've no doubt given at the very least 4 stars mabey 5. Sadly today (06/18/2023) I cannot say the same. I had gone in with my friends and they both ordered a Chicken Tender basket whereas I ordered the alfredo again and we all shared the cheese curds. Now understandably as it is fathers day the floor was quite packed so we didn't expcet fast service and that was okay. We recieved our cheese curds and there was so much oil left over on them. I personally couldn't eat more than a small handfull from the whole basket. There was so much oil in fact that one of my friends took a curd and made a face on the napkin with it. Finally our food came and I immeadtly knew that something was wrong with it, I could see very little sauce on the noodles and that was because it all pooled to the bottom of the plate, it was difficult to get any sauce to stick to the noodles and it didn't help that the noodles were overcooked. Each bite I took turned to mush from just my tounge, if I had wanted to I could've eaten the meal without having to chew. The "garlic" bread I had this time was just a thick slice of toasted bread and it was also sweet which was something that caught me by suprise. My friends fries were also over cooked in that they were very dark, far to crunchy for normal, and were incredibly dry when I tried one. Though i wanted to put in a complaint with our waiter I could see that her shift this day was not going pleasently so I decided to hold my tounge until i could write this review. As with the fries the tenders were incredibly dry and had to be chased down with a drink after every bite, the taste, I do not know if it was the chicken, seasoning, or the oil, was, for lack of a better word, "off". The time we spent in the dining area was sullied by the presents of an infant of whom the mother could not soothe, though i did not account this into my rating this is just something that bothered my group personally. Since I have not been here as many times as others I will change/update my rating the more i go but for my last line i will quote something i said in the diner. Never been here before. Sat ourselves as the sign said. There were about 6-7 tables being occupied and there was plenty of places to pick. We got our drinks right away. The 3 sodas from the gun had no syrup. Waited well over 10 minutes before we had a waitress come take our order. And then ordered new sodas. We were just about to walk out. They were by no means busy. We came around 1pm, after lunch. Food came out quick. French fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Chicken patty was very thin. Over easy eggs had uncooked runny whites. The waitress never came back after our food was dropped off. Never got refills, never got asked how it was. Waited over 20 minutes after we were done for the check. It never came. Walked up to the register. Waited for a minute and the waitress popped out and said "oh, I was just refilling the butter". The check wasn't even added up yet so we had to wait for that. Judging by the reviews, it must have been an "off" day. Her tip wasn't affected but...

We've come back many times since my last post. The couple running the restaurant are such hard working sweet people! If only they could find the help they so desperately need! Shame on those waitresses that don't have the courtesy or work ethic to come to work instead of just not showing up The food just keeps getting better and better!! Stop in and say hello to Josephina and Jesus' , you won't be disappointed in the food or their friendliness!!

Was not happy with the food or lack of concern for my complaints. Mom and I come here quite frequently and we were both disappointed. Last week we came in and the food was fantastic!! I ordered the steak chimichanga with avocado and it was delicious. Today, I ordered the same and it was small, greasy and the meat was all fat and full of gristle. The avocado I paid extra for was small thin slices. If this is indeed a new cook in training, then he better get better or we will be...
