I just want to say that The tuna is high quality albacore white tuna and is not bland, a kraft mayo and miracle whip blend is used with a splash of lime juice and mortons season salt. simple but very good because the owner is very selective, she makes them leave the tuna in perfect chunks, lightly blended easy on the mayo. If you like a little tuna with your mayo this isn't the sandwich for you but like their delicious salmon salad sandwich its lightly blended with a mayo/miracle whip blend so its a very lean meaty and healthy sami! The chicken salad is by far the best I've ever had. Most popular sandwich is turkey cranberry on marble rye. I love the cheddar apple turkey(not on the menu but they will make it.) kids love the grilled peanut butter and jelly. Smoothies are two for one on Fridays. the soups are homemade and they offer two different soups each day, most popular being the chicken wild rice and lobster bisque. Best banana bread ever! oh yeah they give you a free slice of dessert bread with a smoothy. Honestly, the prices are not high when you compare them to EVERYTHING that is downtown, everything is fresh!! everything is healthy. It's Doctor owned! She insist on fresh quality healthy foods at an affordable family price. The potato salad is not the yummy all american mustard potato salad I love..it is Greek potato salad made with mayo, red wine vinegar, garlic, onion, dill, salt and pepper. people love it but I'm traditional. You can get a lunch special for under $6 which includes what they call a half of sandwich BUT its actually 3/4 of a sandwich of your choice with your choice of soup or chowder, potato salad, a pickle spear and a snack in a cup size smoothy. It is a very filling lunch. be warned they do not serve soda pop like coke ect....its all healthy food. I highly recommend speading the money to have a fresh squeezed orange juice, they also have fresh pressed apple juice. At Christmas time the place gets busy during the tree lighting ceremony because doctor Jane says thank you to the community with free cider and cookies. Live music on special days too. There are daily specials also aside from the 5.99 lunch special....and...
Read moreMy husband and I ate at Beyond Juice for the first time this week. We were very pleased with the quality and taste of the soups and sandwiches we ordered. We did not order any juices or smoothies, so cannot comment on those. The only reasons this place will not get a 5-star rating from us is the C rating for the truck stop grade coffee (powdered creamer, too!), and the large quantity of paper and styrofoam waste created by our two lunches. Paper plates. Styrofoam cups with plastic lids for soups and side dishes. Plastic eating utensils. Foil wrapping on a sandwich to be consumed in-house. In this day and age of ecological enlightenment (and responsibility!), surely reusable restaurant ware is in order. I know that it requires a dishwasher and someone to run it, but the prices and quality of the food indicate that this place is more than just a fast-food place, and should act the part. Just sayin'. We'll be back, but will request a minimum of throw-away materials...
Read moreMy sister ordered a sandwich here and the old cranky lady that was working there told her she could pick another sandwich since they were out of the one she ordered. So she picked a different sandwich and the lady rudely told her she would owe her another two dollars. You would think an establishment would have change, but she couldn’t get the sandwich because she only had a $20 bill. There was a very nice, kind, respectful man that offered to give the sandwich to my sister that worked there. Later we found out the man got in trouble and was yelled at for what she thought was “wrong “ This is not how you act. To the man that helped my sister that day, please continue to be yourself and don’t let negative ugly people bring you down. I appreciate The kindness you showed my sister and that is how a true customer service person should act. Shame on...
