Ordered via Door Dash. Took them 45 mins to even start the order. Poor Dasher had to stand there and wait for over 25 mins. Ordered fish tacos with corn tortillas and got flour. Ordered a regular order of chips with salsa and a bigger order of chips, salsa, and quac. Only got one small bag of chips and a tiny container of salsa and guacamole. Rice tasted like Rice a Roni and beans tasted like they came out of a can. At least my partners burrito was correct and tasted good. Highly disappointed, though, after hearing such rave reviews from other locals.
EDIT: Since you are trying to blame Door Dash I will say I PLACED the order at 7:40 I received updates via Door Dash and a text from the driver that he had been waiting for a long time. So you didnt start the order for nearly 45 mins. I'd certainly hope that wouldn't be acceptable if I were dining in (You claim it gets busy but then blame DD?) I didnt say the burrito was good, my partner did, we have different tastes. You are clearly confused about my chip order issue but that's not surprising. Seems every other review that isn't great says the customer service is questionable if not bad. Couldn't agree more. I'm glad others in the community...
Read moreI like a good and authentic Mexican style restaurant, but unfortunately this place did not cut the top 100 places I would recommend. #1 the beans are not homemade. They tasted like the refried beans you get from a can from any supermarket. The rice had no flavor and bothe rice and beans were of small portions and COLD, the nachos had more chips than the meat beans or whatever they put on it. The burrito was a good size but again what makes it all come together is TLC, honestly the only thing Mexican was the waitress,,when asked what part of Mexico owners are from, they originated from Venezuela or Honduras. Sorry that's not Mexican. if they would say south American food then I would understand. BUT just because anyone can make tacos and burritos, doesn't make them a Mexican restaurant. I come from California and trust me I've been in Korean food trucks that make a better Mexican delicacy than here. SORRY PA, you can go and try but if you want THE REAL VERSION try taquitos Maggy on route 41 in Avondale that food will explode...
Read moreOur first time getting food from El Limon was a really great experience! The staff was so friendly and the service was excellent. We had a very large order and we enjoyed it all! The tamales with the salsa verde were my favorite! There was so much meat in the steak fajitas that it made 4! (3 tortillas come with it and we used one from home) The carnitas tornados and chicken quesadillas were very good and the barbaco, rice and bean burrito was HUGE and definitely sharable! Including the tip the meal was $50 which I think is very reasonable for 4 dinners, a big side of rice, 3 tamales and extra sauces. OMG and I almost forgot the tres leches!! Wow so moist, flavorful and it was enough for 2, definitely the best around! Great job El Limon! We'll be back...
