Poured Out Cafe — Restaurant in Parkesburg

What a beautiful place! We chose Poured Out as our spot for our weekly no-kids coffee date, and LOVED IT. Clean, chic minimalist vibe with a freshness and coziness about it. They have ample, comfortable seating, a welcoming atmosphere, and offer an extensive selection. We decided on the special, Blended Mexican (mocha, vanilla, cinnamon), and it was to die for. The coffee blend had a deep, roasted flavor with smooth complexity, bolstered by the strong spice profile of the drink itself. I got an Earl Grey muffin and my wife got avocado toast--both excellent. They bake all their own pastries, so I highly recommend getting one. The Earl Grey muffin had strong tea notes, only slightly overpowered by the streusel topping, but still wonderful. The avocado toast was very reasonably priced and generous in both avocado and feta.

typically pretty good, nice staff, yummy food, good drinks. However one day I came in they weren’t busy and I think I was the only one there and I ordered a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I asked for sausage. I’m waiting for my coffee and about 4 more people walk in after me. I get my coffee and am waiting on my sandwich. Someone who ordered after me got their food before me, no biggie. Then someone else who comes in after me gets their food before me.. Um okay, strange.. Because their orders were hot foods, so should take just as much time as mine I finally get my food and don’t bother to look because I had to get to work, and when I take a bite later I got bacon and not sausage like I asked. I knew maybe something was wrong when the person in the back handing out food orders looked at me as if they were trying to remember my order lol. Fantastic little shop! Great food and service.

This place has some of the best scones I've ever had, my family especially loves the cinnamon roll scone. I thought the chai tea latte was pretty good and my husband said his caramel latte was very good. I grabbed a blackberry lemonade on the way out which was also great.

The people who work here were some of the friendliest workers around and the atmosphere itself just feels friendly.

The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star is maybe just having more food options but I can understand that sometimes the kitchen just isn't big enough to have more food options.
